Some metal skeleton fell onto the interstate off a CalTrans pickup truck in front of us. We couldn’t swerve to get out of the way.

It’s just a few superficial scratches.

Thanks for checking. I can’t use an offset wrench it turns out because you need to use the open end to pry.

I’d rather go to the real Tesla since they’re giving us a new bumper and not repairing the old one.

I'm just happy it was the driver's side and not the other side where the snorkel was, that would've been 100x times worse with the a-pillar mounting.

I can order a new fender, side mirror and turn signal house for about 100 bucks on rockauto. Just going to have to color match the fender the best I can, or maybe leave it black. I dunno

They don't even sell OEM body panels any more to my knowledge unless you find a dealer that has old stock lying around. Plus that'd be way too expensive just for a fender

If they're in radiant red then I'll take one, assuming it isn't $500

given what I put my truck through I'm not a stickler for OEM body panels. As long as it looks good and the holes line up, I'll deal with it

What does it matter, it’s just a filter. Paper or not. I know the Toyota filters are made in two different places. I believe Taiwan or Japan.

All the ones I buy say Thailand made by Denso. I don't see the point in paper or synthetic, the filter is made to meet a specific filtration requirement either way so it really doesn't matter.

There’s a mod on here I believe who cut open all the possible oil filters for these trucks as possible. In terms of filtration media size, flow, and build quality the OEM were best.

Yeah I read that. IMO, who cares? I personally run napa gold/wix, my dad has used fram for his entire life, no issues there. Ive never seen a report of a motor that failed that was traced back to a faulty filter, and that's coming from someone that actually reads the bob is the oil guy forum sometimes.

I guess it comes down to personal preference, same as oil. I like running Mobil 1 and the Toyota YZZD3 filter. Won’t make much of a difference if I ran something else though. But it’s what I prefer.

I read on another forum that I lurk on, that Mobil 1 isn't as good as it once was. If you want top tier oil, Kendall is where its at. Something along the lines of Mobil changing their base oil suppliers every few years means the quality can vary these days. I use Castrol gtx dino juice.
