I can't believe I missed this thread until now. My prayers are sent. I hope all works out well with your health and work situation. How are the headaches? Are the meds controlling them? Do you still need to have the cysts removed?

They said dont need to get them removed unless they grow, Headaches are getting better with this med. but today i was getting some minor headaches, but it is pouring now so that might have been the change in barometric pressure. I hope the work situation works out. I still owe about 11k on the truck. not a great time to loose the work.

    Hi,

    How's it going?

Glad to hear the meds are working to control your headaches. I guess you'll really have to monitor the tumors to make sure they're not growing.

Hope things get better in the job situation.

Still praying for you. Hang in there.

A lot of times we say "nothing's wrong" when we should be saying, "nothing's worse."

    So, sometimes good news!

No I am seeing the Neurologist. He gave me topomax. Seems to be working wonders. I take 25 mg in the AM and 50 in the PM and it has been steadily taking care of the headaches. So no complaining there. Plus the side effects of weightloss is great. I have dropped about 20 pounds in 2 weeks.

Correct me if i'm wrong but doesn't topomx also cause the cyst to decrease in size. Had a friend that had something (med) like that and it worked wonders.....

Given enough time (10-20 years) I believe medicine will find a way to completely stop, reverse, and prevent (cure) cyst like yours from ever occurring again.....It's scary as hell but the stuff the drug companies are coming up with is amazing....and it's happening right now...I believe we are living in an accelerated time in our history where computers coupled with the opening of all the doors in biology, chemistry and physiology are taking leaps faster, further and to the better of our society against the most dangerous of all diseases....the side effects are even found to have greater potential to cure other diseases....absolutely amazing. Hang tough brother...your gonna see this cyst thing be laughed at in a few years when they give you a prescription and say "take two of these and call me in the morning!"
