Hey that's Mohawk Mike's @mikesdoublecab truck. He's one of the guys who convinced me not go with spacers back in CT days & why I got Donahoes & Deavers back then. So glad I listened.

Im surprised VA lets him get away with it. Considering they have a minimum bumper height law, Id say theyre pretty strict. My truck was from VA, had dual plates and a front facing inspection sticker (moves from corner to corner of the windshield every year for cops to see if your inspections up to date easily). Oh and in VA excesive speeding=jail time usually or a hefty ticket.

Damn. Why didn’t I do that? I tried to clean it while it was wet. It’s soaking in goo gone right now.

Lol. Its a trick i learned in high school collision shop. Another trick i learned was to make the underclassmen do all the sanding. Us upperclassmen stuck to the welding and painting.

Correct. Not just sides, my truck had it in the bottom center when I got it. Leaves a sticky residue in like 6 spots lol. NC doesnt require one at all so I lucked out.

    I don’t mind sanding. It’s relaxing.

How do you get that shit off your hands? I made the mistake of not using gloves.

I’m saving up for a good painting setup. I’m going to run copper air lines with a plasma cutter drier and oil separator from HTP. Since it’s for a plasma cutter, it can keep up with my blast cabinet.

What do you think of those airless sprayers? Not the ones you use for houses, I forgot what it’s called. It’s this little box your plug into the wall.

As for the hands and clothes, let it dry then flake it off. Do not smear it in.

The plasma drier sounds good, but putting 2 IR driers in line with eachother is what my school had. IMO, the best thing to help your paint setup is a proper booth with a down/cross draft, it helps tremendously, even if you have to build a tent out of sheet plastic. Id skip the copper and just run regular air hose from your compressor to the drier, copper is great for multiple tie in across a large facility, but not needed in a 2 car garage imo.

Airless? Theres a reason why its not used in the industry. Buy a Sata HVLP gun, be happy.

Yeah my bad, due to modern crash avoidance systems on the dash of some cars, it was moved to the corner per some random news article.
