Are you saying it was your Vintage Craftsman toolbox that I picked up on the side of the road?

Thanks, Almost mint and needed a toolbox like this too... now if I can find a vintage lower half chest to place it on. SUPER happy finding it and saving it from the landfill. :)

From what I understand, those are not very expensive. And if you have one (and will use it, not just say you will) it will save at least the amount of money it costs in repair bills if you do the work yourself because you have a jack.
I don't work on the SOs cars because I won't get under a vehicle that is up on anything but a lift (no stands, no jacks, no blocks). I prefer that to not be the way I die.

    I put on a jacket

    hahaha
My furnace is in my garage and it's insulated with an insulated door. I've only had an issue being out in the garage when it got below 0F outside and the garage was slowly getting under 40F.

Plan this year if I have some cash lying around is to insulate the attic much better than it is. If you have a space above the garage like that good insulation does wonders for keeping the garage a reasonable temp. You can get wall mount space heaters installed to help keep the garage nice and warm. My brother runs those in his garage.

I think it was around $2100. You can't even buy a set of wheels and tires for that price. I know I'll have the lift a lot longer than the set of wheels and tires.

Gregg Smith Equipment. Delivered to a friend that has a shop with fork trucks. Saved me the $250 lift gate truck fee.

I turn wrenches for a living but here's my home setup. Ill post work tomorrow.

This was the first snap-on box I bough about 8 years ago, traded it in for my current work KRL. About a year ago I found it for sale again after having gone through 2 more owners and I had to pick it up for home. Nostalgia set in bad.

Good grief, tell me you're making this up and they cost the $6-8k I've always assumed they were.

In the tail end of building a new house with 12' garage ceilings. Thought I was living large with heat. Please tell me I'll have to break up the floor to pour pads (only 4"), or run a 100 amp circuit (panel doesn't have room). Make something up, for Pete's sake. $2k + another 50 amp circuit and I'm in.

Nope, all numbers are pretty close. I did buy it 3 years ago, so I'm sure there has been a bit of price increase.

Mine runs on a 30 amp circuit just fine. Mine is sitting on 4.5" concrete. No special footings are required.

In fact, one of the bases actually spans 1 of my in floor heat tubes.

Also got mine from Greg Smith Equipment. Atlas BP8000 due to 11ft ceiling restrictions. ~$1600 iirc. Saved some money by picking it up from freight center.

Uhhh, neither of you helping. At all. I specifically asked you to lie/make something up to steer me away, dammit. Not only did you not do that, made it seem like a no-brainer AND provided the vendor name.

So, I'm going with installation is two grand, just enough to keep me out of ownership. Do not correct me, nor provide Greg Smith Equipment contact person or information.

    Gregg Smith Equipment.

I got mine thru the Indiana branch. I called to ask some questions and I was actually talking to the owner himself.
