    New transmission filter, new gasket,
7 qrts drained out, 7 qrts back in. Was going to do the full flush but desided against it when 7 qrts drained out. I believe my 2.7 prerunner holds 8.2, seemed a bit of an uneccecary risk to flush out 1.2 qrts of older fluid.
So I still have 4 qrts of new trans fluid I did not use, was going to flush them through, but as I said I desided against it. I’m still open to the self flush concept, but can someone please explain to me the benefit of doing a flush, as opposed to a drain and fill, then doing another drain and fill maybe a week later. Seems that two back to back drain and fills would accomplish the same means while limiting the possible risk a flush might open one up to. Thoughts?

    I have mods
If it was going to be a longer term solution, then I might. This is a very short term solution tho, so really not worth the effort. My bumpers should have shipped out Thursday or Friday. Hopefully.

Have you tried www.car-part.com? I had some body parts shipped from Texas to fix my friends 370z.

There is ToyAuto Mart and Rancho Toyota Truck Parts outside Sacramento. They’re big eBay sellers and ship.

Mating the A340F to the engine was already a nightmare enough with a proper fully adjustable transmission jack. Can’t imagine doing it without one.

Maybe I should’ve taken the transfer case off. I installed it as one unit.

Yeah. That would’ve been wise. Probably why I had such a hard time getting those stupid dowel pins to line up with the engine. Too backheavy.

Yeah I found one on there that's close to me...it's red even. But there's no description on its condition or price and the yard its at is closed until Tuesday.

So I went ahead and took a chance on one of those $70 aftermarket black fenders...going to test fit it when it arrives on Wednesday and then paint it if it works. If not, I'll grab that used OEM fender off of car-part and send the aftermarket one back.

I'm kind of excited to do this even though the circumstances suck...I've never done body/cosmetic work before but I think I can pull this off

Haha! Transmission Jack's are for pussies!

Just kidding... No we straight up rednecked that shit out balanced on a 4x4 block on a floor jack.

There were some pucker moments but all in all it went pretty smooth.

For aftermarket parts CAPA certified if what you’re looking for. I’ve heard before that some of the cheaper aftermarket fenders are thinner than the OEM. So maybe look for that.

Yeah I wanted to get one off of rockauto initially because you can specify a CAPA certified one, but they don't ship to CA right now because they haven't got the right prop 65 paperwork from the fender manufacturers yet. Lame.

The one I ended up buying didn't specify whether it was CAPA or not but it was one of the only sellers I could find that had more decent reviews than bad ones...just seems like I'm gonna have to wait and see when it arrives on Wednesday if I got lucky or not.

I know its posted and my dumb ass just cant find it. What's the torque specs for the rear diff and tightening pattern if it matters. Also what's the torque spec on the 4 bolts that hold the axle/drum to the housing

Edit found it thanks to timmah video. 18 for the 3rd member and 48 for the backing plates

Has anyone had to cut their actual fender toward the rear to prevent rubbing on 2” of lift and 285s?
