Tacoma - OVTUNE - VFTUNER - Update Info and Original Development

Lol, I probably spelled that wrong. I think this is the first time I’ve flashed my truck sober. Guys, I am the worst at computers. Im sure there’s exceptions, but if you follow the directions, it’ll work. I had to check my steps a few times before I got it right.

I had to update the dongle software and I had to to the dll thing. After that, it worked

 

For all you guys that had successful flashes. How long did the flash take approximately?

 

Mine seemed normal. Maybe 2-3 min

 

Windows 7 Home Premium. I Google'd the problem and trying to delete and reinstall the Visual C++ stuff.

 

It took me a while but I finally figured out my issue. For me the new rev P5Flash Utility was there, wasn't, then back again (meaning the .exe). Seems my antivirus was just sometimes keeping it from downloading (never had this issue before with my av) but then after a few installs/uninstalled/updates it finally threw up a malware warning. Then I knew what to do.

I flashed 93 performance and went for a drive. OMFG. Easy on the pedal in 1st gear indeed. Same for other gears as well.
I couldn't get crazy enough because it's wet n cold here but.... tomorrow!

 

Was quite a bit faster this time than previous. I'd say very close to a minute.

 

Well shit! Just as I was about to go flash. There are pros and cons to enabling automatic Windows updates.

Battery voltage is a big part of flash speed. Good 12.5+ will flash in 1 min.

I installed the visual c++ stuff too, no dice. Gonna submit a ticket and when Mat gets a chance I'll see what he says.

still having troubles getting this to open up correctly. went ahead and installed the C++ fix file "vc_redist.x86", and tried both the 1.0.0 and 1.0.2 versions of Flash Manager with two separate errors popping up.
