Am I the only one who kinda cringes a tad thinking about how “these people” lost everything regarding their business? I’m not promoting or bashing them, just saying. The “humane” side of me does hurt a little regarding the fact they put a lot in to their company and rep. and now it is dead. Not taking anything away from the double J’s and them hooking everyone up, I mean I bought stuff. But like, damn this is some serious shit.

Too emotional? Maybe I should put down my 3 month old daughter.

William hasn’t had to come out since last summer. Maybe word got around or maybe the drugs dried up.

Impossible to catch up on everything at the moment. We got one 53’ semi loaded that will be show up in Benicia tomorrow and another semi showing up tomorrow. Needless to say, in person sales at the Pelfrey shop are officially over.

It would be greatly appreciated if folks would refrain from quoting, PMs and DMs asking for pricing, freight options, powder coat options, timing when the stuff will be available for purchase from BAMF, and so on. THE VERY BEST OPTION for customers (and selfishly us) is to simply create an account on BAMF’s website. Once the stuff gets transported, unloaded, organized, and ready for sale on the website, @JLee will send out an email blast that the products are live for purchase!

On a sentimental note, we’d like to thank everyone who came by. Whether it was as a Pelfrey screwed, customer, or just to help us clean up. It was a huge team effort by a lot of individuals. But I really need to call out two specific people. First off, @tacomgee. This guy called me right after the auction closed and asked if I wanted any help since he knew my current back situation immobilized my normal self. He hopped in the truck with me, split the driving to San Diego (on Valentines Day no less), stayed here the entire time, moved a gazillion bumpers and sliders, helped countless customers, updated the thread, endless assistance and just simply busted his ass, all as nothing more than a favor. And then there is @SeatSleeper. This guy drove from Arizona Friday morning and stayed the entire time, knew all the little details about random pieces and parts scattered around the shop, did inventory, forklifted things all over the shop, and quite frankly has one of the best work ethics I’ve ever seen.

There are countless people to thank that came by to help including a crew from The Bay Area that left at midnight, drove to San Diego, worked all day, and then drove right back to the Bay Area. Honestly Jerry and I would have been screwed if we didn’t have the help that we got from everyone who pitched in.

We are far from being done. But at least I think I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. That light could be a train heading my way, but at least it’s a fun ride.

you guys did good. 4wheelparts truck fest two dudes spent a few minutes totally under my truck looking at how the sliders mounted. got to talking the one you can see in the pic got screwed but ended up getting a smoking deal this weekend. the other bought sliders and was looking and taking pics of how it all mounts up.

at first we were joking that they were just casually doing key bumps under my truck.

There’s a lot of different ideas as to why what happened happened. I don’t know shiz but I don’t think this was their elaborate plan from the beginning like some have stated. As much as I don’t want to feel bad for them I do a little bit. They started the company using their last name so I mean that would be pretty silly to do that with the intent to screw a lot of people over. Maybe what they said was true that they had an investor coming in at the end that ended up not working out. I mean they had all that inventory in the shop, maybe they ran out of $$ to ship it. What kind of messed with me was seeing the IG photo’s of Tyler’s shirt there. Made it seem like they intended on coming back. But I also thought it was weird that there wasn’t a single welder or computer left so who knows.

I think most of the anger towards them came from the way they handled themselves in the end. They waited way too long to tell everyone the ship was sinking, and in doing so made themselves look rather unpleasant to everyone.

It sucks we will probably never get the truth as to what actually happened. Since they took their computers with all of their cad designs it really makes me wonder if they ever plan on trying to start a shop again, or maybe they will sell the files to a different fab shop. Either way what is done is done, and I think we got the best out come for a rather crappy situation since Jason & Jerry were able to help as many people that got screwed as they could, and distribute what was left of the inventory to other enthusiasts.

My theory on what happened. Their El Cajon Shop was their 3rd location. Every time they moved, the location got bigger and bigger. I think the economics of the Toyota off road market started to slow down just enough, making their third location a little too much for the shifting market. Taking on new debt and not having enough available capital was a recipe for disaster. My guess it that they also started producing parts in advance of orders they hadn’t received (hence the new Debt required to produce those parts) and the shifting market was too much for them.

By the sound of their last few posts. That new investment they were seeking was probably going to be enough to keep them afloat while they restructured at their new location in hopes to continue what was once a successful business. Sad to see them go because they were good people, but Also excited to see the BAMF guys pick up what was a horrible situation and help out the Toyo off road Community. Shout out to BeastFab SoCal, doing great things down here for off-roaders in the area.

it’s all about family until money comes into play then people’s true colors are shown. sure they lost their business and house here but they likely walked away with a fuckton of our hard earned money and for that they can eat shit. Reality is no one fucking cares about their sob story. they fucked their business and we unknowingly kept their doors open longer than they should have been.
