For a first gen, 8000 lb winch is all you need unless you have alot of extra overland flab bolted on there. For 2nd gens, 9k or above is a must, otherwise snatchblock turtle winch it is.

yes sir, I use tri-flow on any heim joints and uni-balls, seems to keep them quiet and I haven't also noticed any rusting. Make sure but they might offer stainless steel uniballs. I know when I first got my total chaos UCA they were chromoly and they pitted and rusted in one winter season. I pressed in new SS ones and they have been going strong for over 5 years now without issue.

I’m hoping to remain relatively light so I’d agree with the 8k being plenty.

You went with the XPS, right? Any reason for that over the Zeon or was the Zeon not out when you purchased?

I did the 9.5xps, haven't had any issues with it. And yea the zeon was not out when I was wench shopping. Not sure how much they cost these days but I just checked my email, I got the 9.5xps with the synthetic rope along with the wireless kit for $1399 shipped, that was way back in 2011.

Nowadays I get most of my wenches from bumble or tinder :anonymous:

When I surf the gram, that's all I see. I feel like I'm in the equivalent of an overland geriatric pool getting slapped by a flabby armed spanking machine of the maxtrax and sky top tents.

They’re still about the same. I think they’re a little faster and less draw than the Zeons which are a couple hundred less. I can’t seem to figure out if you’re paying for that “tactical” look that I could give a fuck less about with the Zeon or the new tech is worth it over the m8000.

Is this some new kind of west coast ice cream?

I really do like the engo and it does free up money for other stuff - just struggling to pull the trigger without that fancy red lettering

I see the SJWs claimed another victim. R.I.P. no-H.

Sadly, I saw the escalation years ago, and it will only get worse, which is why I rarely post here anymore.
If you need to reach me, I suggest PM's, as I choose to spend my limited free time elsewhere.

I came here to ask if anyone knows a location by the driver where I can pick up the reverse light signal.
Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

If so, use connector ID2 terminal 1 under the kick panel. It goes from reverse switch to the 7 pin towing socket.

Yea it’s our fault that a douche bag (ddayisnear) was allowed to stay here even though we constantly fought with him and asked mods to ban him weekly....

But it’s our fault that the UG is gone....

Not the moderators who failed to deal with him when he started fucking shit up....

Seriously... I was going to sleep and said fuck it let me look at Tw real quick... we haven’t had this kind of drama in here since the old NJ thread.

I have the engo 9000s and it’s worked well. Had an issue with the line but they replaced it.

    The line snapped

Wasn’t an extreme angle and it didn’t snap from wear (unless it was previous wear but it didn’t look damaged). It broke mid span in mid air. Tied it back together and it broke a couple feet away. Tied it again and it broke a couple feet away again.

I believe it was a defective line. Joel from engo wanted pictures of where it snapped and he didn’t mention anything about it looking damaged from wear.
They’ve also switched to a different line.
