Just tear the two small drops off. You need to always clean off a surface you plan to add new fipg

A good set of tire chains and you probably would not have gotten stuck.

I should have clarified. I know to remove the old FIPG, but was asking whether the front cam bracket needed to be removed/reinstalled with new FIPG or leave it in place and add a dab of new FIPG to the corners of the bracket.

Think he was referring to removing the cam cap.

doesn't need to remove that to clean off the FPIG. I wouldn't touch the cap. As i stated in my second to last post.

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!
    Ok, here's what we've got

Left = the VSS from the trans that was removed from the truck.

Right = the VSS from the T-case that is going in to the truck.
Anyone with a killer idea on how to work around this?

The actual sending unit is missing from the tcase one, that's just the gear carrier. Unless it was for a cable driven speedo like mine then you'd just hook the speedo cable up and go

Yes, he was referring to the manual not mentioning taking off the cap.
I read you reply as you were thinking he was asking weather or not to remove the FPIG.

Wait are you sure you're looking at the right speed sensor. The AT has two and one is for internal planetary speed

In the steering column trim panel is where I put mine. Out of the way and right in my line of sight for all the other gauges.

Not sure if it is company wide but I picked up a scan gauge ii for 40 dollars off at autozone. Cheaper than anywhere on the internet to my knowledge. 127 out the door

Now is the time, the time is now.
