    I bought the Tacoma for a mere song a few weeks ago, fully built. So, with that in mind, YES, definitely worth it :p As for retail price, it definitely peps up the factory 2.7. If you're committed to that engine, then this is a good way to squeeze more out of it.

    The SC 2.7 can currently pull pretty good in 4th and 5th (good throttle response, acceleration), gets decent mileage (about 1/3 further distance on 35s with armor, than my previous stock-ish 4.0). This particular 2.7 is having some health issues though, and I haven't confirmed if it's due to the SC, set-up/tuning, or just rough younger years. On that point, I'll remain neutral until I can determine the cause of it's issues.
