You download the new 1.05 (base/performance/stock) tunes via Flash Manager. It will be saved to your computer, the directory location is on the bottom left hand corner of Flash Manager. You can move your tunes to another folder, or leave it in the default location.

Open new PCM Flash, point your tune location to the directory specified from Flash Manager.

yes, they will download to a new folder created by FM. you can open the folder directly through FM, but save the address in file explorer for convenience.

The new pcmflash executable can be launched on its own (as normal) -OR- from within the FlashManager app. Either launching method works just fine.

I personally just created a shortcut directly to the new PCMflash executable that I'll use to tune the truck. I may mess with the logging in the other FM app later, but it's otherwise unnecessary after initially grabbing all the tune files and utils.

With regards to using TechStream to clear the ECU/TCU. Is it better to do so immediately before installing a new tune, or immediately after flashing the new tune file (and before the idle learning process)?

My point is that PCMFlash is not available from within Flash Manager. Where do you see it?

Thanks for the clarification Mat. It wasn’t obvious that your post to Speysquatch was for a “test version”.

Its not just a matter of following the instructions, if you had a 64 bit windows and followed the instructions you were fine. If you have 32bit windows there is issues that Matt is addressing with the installer. A lot of people use FM on older/limited devices that can only run 32bit OS.

    Correct,
if your computer is x64 you are unlikely to run into any problems with the newest version,

    on x86 it's being reworked

I will probably be shot for asking, but are registrations going out or are the understandably on hold while you are working on the new release? @OVTune

It worked, but after overcoming some weird bugginess which Mat did help with (thank you again). Problems are beyond “just reading instructions” for those of you that think that is the only problem
