@D2. have you looked in to what it takes to fix it ?

So my girl Terra (dog mix breed of everything) about 8 years ago chewed the wiper stalk on my 02 Tacoma there are still teeth marks in it. I was in timmmmmms getting some coffee and I parked right in front of the window so she could see me and I could see her. She would look at me then duck down for a few min then get back up and look at me again. She was chewing the f out of the wiper control.

Honestly I never did look at it ( besides looking down the hole to see that it was there ) I have done the heated mirror upgrade to my taco which involved removing the interior door skin completely, and know for a fact that they just pop in and out super easy. I don't know 100% that its NOT broken, but i'm pretty sure its not. In all honesty it should just pop right back in. that's why I'm leaving down there till my little devils are old enough to not do that, I figured that they would just keep doing it so why bother putting it back. Also being the primary driver with kids in the front seat, there's no reason right now for me to have it there anyway :notsure:

I know all of this makes me sound lazy, and that's because its true!

Here is the heated mirror thread, PDF instructions on install ( including removing the door skin and switch ) are at the bottom of post #1

    Heated Mirror Kit

PS: the dude is CDN, and great to deal with. I have this kit and can whole heartedly recommed it, I have the 15 min timer which helps out big time when you are stuck in traffic and that wet atlantic snow is blowing at your back messing up your mirrors

65 Ford, that guy sure is crafty!. I've watched a bunch of his vids. I can say from experience his mod to snowblowers is top notch! Instead of rubber flaps, I may or may not have liberated a discarded road pylon from its side of the road grave...:spy::anonymous: to use as my paddles.
honestly it turned my tired old 5hp snow "tosser" into what feels like a 10hp snow THROWER! easily doubled the throwing distance, less clogs, and actually has a chance at handling slush.

don't worry I'll see my self out now:hattip:

Just a update on the rear brakes :bananadead:

I removed both rear drums last night and cleaned the brakes up with parts cleaner

I slacked off the hand brake and then adjusted the brakes and assembled Tested and all works the way it should

My theory is that i was so obsessed to get the hand brake to hold the truck for its inspection that i over adjusted it where it should have been adjusted with the star first
there was also a large amount of brake dust on the drivers side. With this in the drum it almost acts as lube stopping the shoes from making proper contact when brake is applied.

time will tell as i will be keeping a close eye on it :annoyed:

Oh brake dust. I got coated in it yesterday evening as I helped a friend redo the rear brakes on his F350. His Ford came from your part of the world(rusty). The shoes for the parking brake ripped out of the rusted thru backing plate and wore half way thru the drum. Good times.

Just wanted to stop in and say Thanks for your work on the compressor delete job! My A/C packed it in a while ago and it was easy to ignore until my tensioner decided to eat itself after a mere 152K miles. I broke 3 outta 4 compressor bolt heads off and finally had to use a framing crowbar to pry the compressor off the rusty as sh*t bolt shanks. I don't do much mod work but I do use this forum for many life & $$$ saving projects. Have bought a lot of used parts here that have kept me and my credit card out of the stealerships over the years. Thanks Again, Eh...... :canada:

Parker is saying look what I have dad it’s the tv remote and your outside so I will bang it on the back door to get your attention

Decided to try and get the compressor going again, it came apart more. I think the problem is with the start winding contact
