that's a thing of beauty, I was going to ask you if it was an 86' then saw it in ur signature hahaha I was eyeing a few for sale this past summer, they were going for like 800 bucks, but they needed too much work, I could have bought both and maybe had a road worthy one, but the frame on one was soft, gas tank on the other leaked when it was over half full, they each had a bunch of problems hahaha if I owned a house in the country and had room to slowly work on them and make one out of the two I would have, but I am renting in the city, I do have lot of parking. I do always seem to have a project car in the driveway but they are my buddies and are only here for a week or two at a time so the land lord doesn't say anything, I think having 2 runners here full time would bother him, even if it didn't they would get in the way between my two vehicles, my buddies two vehicles and then the other tenants car it would start to get tight hahaha anyways, that things is sweet man! im jealous! cant wait to see it in its final glory!

omg those are the most amazing off road machines, very nice.

2 Years ago when I was just meeting some local people to wheel with I met a guy with one of these, that thing was unstoppable. He drove it like it was as well. Did not have a snorkel on it but went through water WAYYY to deep, had to use my ODBII sensor to figure out why it would run after he swapped it. He was a ninja with the mechanics on that thing. New exactly were the sensor that was giving the error was. Had it running within 20 minutes of swamping it.

Triple check their work, they are one of the worst service depts of any dealership.
The GM's and the VP are snakes. They have no Service Manager, just a "Business Manager" that they throw into the fray that knows nothing about service or maintenance.

When your vehicle gets damaged by them they give you the run around, bad.

Same family owns Red Hill Toyota and Parkway Nissan. Lot of complaints about those dealerships.

When I bought my truck from them I ended up having to fix issues myself, and at another dealership.

They gave me my brand new truck covered in snow and ice at night, to hide the damage on it and missing a few things I'd paid for and it took over 4 weeks to get someone there to look at the issues, and then they only did, after I blocked their service entrance.
Glad I had photographed all the issues because they tried to weasel out and point fingers at me.
Then they outright lied, glad I had already done some follow-up emails.

I drive to Burlington Toyota, I don't trust the "Parkway Group" to even rotate my tires for free!

That’s beyond cool. Always wanted a zook but could never swing it because every one I would find on Kijiji looked like it was taken to Gatineau and lit on fire in the woods after being flipped 8 times

I bought it at Redhill .. so, i've always been wary of their approach.. and i don't trust what they offer on face value. I did have an issue with a specific 'service advisor' .. i see she isn't working there, any longer. I also got burned on a set of LCA's, on an extended warranty, so i still ain't happy about that, 4 years on.

As best as i am able, i check their work. They only see service interval maintenance - during the extended warranty period.. now that is now up by a few thousand km's.. I generally go with an Independent, that i trust.

I gotta say, I'm really liking the new 4runner trd off road. Drove one on Saturday. 50k plus tax. Having a hard time deciding on it or a taco. And im seeing some pretty decent deal south of the border on new trucks. Even with the exchange rate. Idk what's involved with bringing them up here or how that would affect warranty

The pre-2020 4Runners are really outdated on the inside, I have both and prefer taco for MT, modern interior, and it's also 9.5L/100KM vs 15L/100KM on a highway... The 2020 4Runner finally getting the 3rd gen taco cluster panel screen, and a few other things, but it's a gas guzzler that needs to lose weight...

Warranty wise you should be fine, we have members with US purchased trucks serviced here with no issues.

I bought a 03 4runner for the wife's winter car. 8 cylinder with full time 4x4. It's a killer on gas but alot better then her old durango with the 5.7 I'm really interested in seeing the 2020 tacoma in person. First time in my life I'm buying a vehicle for me. Not a mini vans to haul the kids or a blue car cause the wife likes the color lmao. This might be a long drawn affair to find the perfect truck lol:annoyed:

I was looking at these while shopping for a replacement vehicle last month. Ultimately, price tilted in favor of a 3rd gen Taco. 4Runner TRD OR was almost $57k after taxes and fees, vs. $47k for a Tacoma Access Cab TRD OR. That, and none of my 2nd gen parts including wheels & tires could transfer over (4Runner needs 17" wheels min).

^Ah ok, misread your post, probably because "turd gen" has been exclusively used to describe 2016+ Tacomas. :p
