OVTune 3.5L Tacoma Supercharger and Twin Turbo Systems

I’d appreciate your input on this...

Lot of us are gearing up to assist with tires and shifting. 1.05 has helped tremendously as well.

I plan on buying your boost kit when it is available too. Will 4.88 help with that too since it puts us at a higher RPM or does it not really matter?

Considering them but I’m already got 4.30s with 33s

 

I don’t know my sc tundra is pretty quick rolling on 35’s with a 6 inch lift.

 

Mat said well before this thread was created that his turbo Tacoma would whip a magnuson tundra

Our truck will be going back to boost now that new FM is released

 

I am curious to know what will happen with MPGs. These tacomas are lackluster in that department. What will a turbo do?

You don't turbo a vehicle for MPG reasons. If you don't know how a turbo works, they pump extra air into the motor, which requires more fuel, which decreases fuel mileage. The more you're in the boost, the more fuel you burn, the more fun you'll have.

ha, just saw mpg talk in here. hey kid get off my lawn.

 

My 08 Supercharged Tundra saw increased mpg under many everyday circumstances. The large amount of torque and appropriately programmed trans shift points are the likely culprits. It would easily hold 5th and 6th gear under many conditions that would have the stock truck grabbing 4th or 3rd. Get happy with the go pedal, though, and it's all over.

Under boost you will burn more fuel, ruin more tires and roast the stock tranny.

 

That picture is so satisfying ........ light weight Tacoma will be way more fun than a heavy full size. I cant wait...
