I stole the idea from someone off here I believe. Took some time to plan the cut but once it was tested and fitted up its been flawless.

Or self tapping screws into the tailgate. More room to mount it there.

Tahoe got over 100 inches of snow in the last week alone, gonna be fun up there lol. I was there last weekend and they had several feet already.

The one out of your tcase looks to be for a cable driven speedo. Guessing you'll need to pull one out of a newer truck.

Thats a cable drive vs vss sensor. You need a different T case unit for your electronic controlled speedo.

Nice, I'm sure it goes without saying but make sure you have a 4x4 up there. I didn't need chains at all but should take them with you just in case you get stopped and asked about them.
I read that they actually had to shut down some of the ski slopes because there's just too much snow

Don't think it did after a quick inspection on the road last night. Was dark though and I mostly just wanted to make sure it was still drivable since we had another 8-9 hours of driving. We got home around 3:30am after a 20 hour trek  from DV, so need to go back out and do a fuller inspection today.

Oh, there are pics. Well, of the aftermath anyway. Would have been cool to have a dash cam for this one. Hit it at a pretty good speed - probably a good 45-50 mph, luckily right in the center of the bumper.

true, although I haven't had lights on mine for a couple years now but it's probably just a matter of time before I get a fix-it ticket for it. Might pick up some of these as well and finally get around to doing it

Got any pics? When I put my 255/85r16 tires on, they fit but rubbed bad when flexing off road, to the point of tearing the tire up a bit. I had to trim back the fender and fold the pinch weld back a good bit. I mostly clear them now but they'll rub a bit under the right conditions.

You should not have to tub for 33s. Get the bfh out and go to town on the pinch weld. You will be sweating when your done...lol. Cut some of the plastic on the fenders and call it good. I had zero rubbing with 33s.

I had the 2 bolt ones look too, I had them but you have to rewire it if you change your tag and mine didn't last very long either

having the proper wheels is a big factor in whether or not you'll rub with 33s

I've got mine even deeper under the bed and directly behind the hitch ball mount. One of the things I'm always afraid of being pulled over for but haven't yet. Knock on wood. I haven't driven my truck into Cali yet though.
