If you took out the blocks, what other suspension parts are lifting the rear?

So in order to do a SUA I would have to get new leafs? Or I could just use the ones I have

Ok, totally against my judgement, I'm gonna try and help you out. It's not hard to do what you are wanting to do. So your truck has a 6" suspension lift, that lift kit came with longer rear shocks. Pull all the lift shit out of the rear, blocks, add a leaves what ever. The rear shocks will then be too long, they bottom out, that's why it rode like shit, one reason anyways. With all the lift shit removed, pull the shocks off and put stock rear shocks back on. Problem solved, well there is still the whole squated problem, but you get what you want.

Stock leaf springs or aftermarket lifting leaf springs?

Shocks dampen and control the ride, they provide no lift, but need to be matched with the correct length to the lift.

    ^ What he said.
If you're running shocks for a 6" lift and then remove ALL the lift the shocks are now too long and you need shorter shocks.

You will need new leafs as well as new spring perches to be welded on the underside of the axle, a slip yoke added to your driveshaft, and possibly new front and rear mounts unless you opt for the TC mid travel SUA kit.

except I highly doubt you can run those wheel at stock height, so you've just ran into another problem.

Lowered or squat setups aren't what the majority of people on here are running. Lifted mall crawlers rule the site. Some people, especially on the internet, cannot figure out how to just skip past stuff that doesn't interest them, and instead they have to piss and moan about a setup if it doesn't meet their ideal.
To each their own, beauty is in the eye of the beholder and all that. You've done a great job ignoring the trolls, cheers.

Unless you have taller bumpstops the lift does nothing for clearance. As your suspension cycles the tire will end up in the same place as a non lifted trucks

It has been said a couple times now.

. Post 21 told you exactly what was likely going on with less words. Seems like you are too busy being defensive to actually read what people are posting that are trying to help you :notsure:

I was thinking the same thing. I just got back from Maui yesterday, and I saw a lot of Tacomas like this. It's a "different" style for sure, but I like that practically everyone modifies their rigs there. No time for stock trucks on the islands I guess. I saw some pretty legit offroad built Yotas as well.

I just went back and looked at the actual pics of your truck. It is quite possible, that once you get all the lift pieces off and put it back to stock, your traction bars may come in contact with your frame. They may need to be removed also.
