I have a 2016 SR5 with 245/75R16. I have a 1.5” block in the front and 1” block in the rear. I was wondering if anyone has put 275/70 R17 on their stock SR5? Does anyone think I will have fitment issues? I will be putting them on SCS F5 wheels 17x8.5 with -10mm offset. Thanks for the help!

Other members here run them on sports, and OR. I don't see why they wouldn't work on SR5. The only thing maybe -10 offset. I seen stock sport (+30) wheels with 1.25 wheel spacer, which would equal around = 0 offset.

With those wheels I would expect you to rub. On my 2nd gen lifted 2.5" on 265/75/16 I am still really close to rubbing. 265's are the only safe way to likely avoid rubbing until you toss different wheels into the picture, then it's anyone's game. As long as you aren't afraid to cut some stuff you won't have fitment issues though.

I’m just saying that because I’ve been thru different sizes and the 265’s drive the best so far

I gotcha. Im just trying to see what wheels will fit my truck. Like I said I have an SR5 with a 1.5" front block and 1" rear block to level my truck. The wheels i want are SCS F5 17x8.5 with -10mm offset and 4.3" backspacing. How do you think 265/70r17s would look? I want a bigger tire than my 245/75/r16s but do not want to have to cut anything. This is the first time i have ever bought nice rims and this is all new to me. thanks for your help.

I would just be careful to not have your tires stick out past the fenders otherwise over time it will destroy your paint which is no bueno. Your bearings can potentially also suffer. 265’s are about .85” wider than 245’s so you will definitely see a difference as well as feel a weight difference while driving. But you mentioned 8.5 inch wide rims which is a bit wide for 265’s, probably not a good idea

I have 275/70/R18 Nittos on a 2.5 inch lift. No rub. No trimming done.

I would not put a 265/70 on an 8.5 wide rim.

I just noticed he mentioned 8.5 wide. You’re right I wouldn’t do that either

Still may be too wide...my 265/70/17 are on a 7” wide OEM pro rim

The tires I’m getting recommend a 7-8” wheel
