I’m about to order a set of SCS F5 16x8 with 4.50 BS. Any reason I should order 5 wheels instead of 4? I plan to run 265/70/16s so the spare should match diameter wise.

If you can afford it, why not order five?

Will that wheel be too wide for that tire? I run the 265/70/17 on a 7” wheel

That size would be fine. I have 255 on an 8" wheel and the tire still provides some wheel protection.

Buy 5! You will damage or destroy 1 and you have a backup. Or run a 5 tire/wheel rotation with a matching spare.

265 is ideal for an 8" wheel. I too have them on a 7" wheel and feel like I should have gotten wider wheels.

Thanks, guys - makes sense to go with 5.
