is that just me or does that make sense to anyone else? Anyone can buy a race/LT already truck but spending the YOU time and money in making it and installing/designing shit yourself and whatnot, isnt that what makes having a custom truck a unique truck and worth it?!

I might be crazy but thats what I feel....anyone can buy something but making something out of nothing is a different story ;) <3

Because when buy it set up already, it leaves you with more money to put crazy awesome stuff on a crazy awesome truck.

Let's face it, the truck is never done. Even if it's finished it's not done, there's always room for more mods.

agreed with both points on taylor and oliver. My race truck started out as a $150 dollar 1988 ranger with a tree on top of it. Major satisfaction of doing all the fab work ourselves. That's probably why I want to sell it honestly. I only work on it when it breaks down, and that's no fun. but as taylor says... it's never done, there's room for improvements.

Sure thing alex. A good starting point with the bypass is to dial the screws in until it gets stiff, then back off half a turn. To be honest there is no exact science to it. It all depends on the feel you have in your truck. Yours would be tricky too b/c it's also your daily driver. But I would love to go and help you out with it.

The rear is the most difficult to dial in because there is less weight and it feels really light back there. anything you can do to shift the weight ratio will help with that problem. Spare tires, fuel cell in the rear, tools, jack, etc.

We have actually been doing really well Brian! We are planning to move in together come October. She is kind of looking for a new job because Oreganos is kinda lame right now and such. Other than that we are just enjoying summer and going up to Greer for a week for vaca and should be pretty fun!

How are you doing with the new truck and GF?

Major satisfaction is what it is all about!

Ya I get the buy it modded and mod more routine and I totally agree that projects such as that are NEVER done, but since I had the Scion now starting the truck and modded that myself I could not imagine buying something that way already...I wouldnt have been there to do all the fun stuff! Making shit fit and work and all the frustration, thats what makes building something fun!

I get what your saying, but some people don't have the knowledge to build it themselves and buying it built is a good option.

So speaking of building, when are you re-gearing and doing an LT build for the back?

There's a Toyota junk yard at 40th street South of University and then theres a ton of junk yards along Southern from 27th Ave to 35th Ave.

Very good point with the knowledge comment taylor!

Ya we are heading to the University one first then I called around and found a couple more. Thanks for the heads up though man.

Funny thing about your LT comment is that I don't know what I want to do...I am going to be selling my UCA to get money for installing the locker. Then the save for LT front and rear...

Yeah that what I read in the manual to them the other night.

I have dual spares in the rear, a loaded toolbox and a jack mounted to the bed cage if that helps with the weight in the rear.

Also as for your question the other day you can run their spindles with their kit. I've seen it done before. You will get a little more travel if you run spindles like that anyways because it will take longer for the uniball to max out since it is higher up and more level. But you will still have to have limit straps on the front so it won't actually start maxing out things. And LT kits don't automatically give you lift like you said. It only looks like that because of the fender flares. you get the lift buy adding preload to your shocks. My truck now is actually a lot low then my old truck that had the 3" lift.

Bilstein 5100s @ 0 with OME885x coils. Toyota Rear TSB. Billet grill inserts.
Well, I was trying to keep my purchase of parts for the Taco a secret but that flew out the window a few minutes ago. UPS arrived to deliver my OME 885x coils, LOL! Wife saw the box and yelled, "What else did you buy?!" I replied... "Nothing" and disappeared into my garage.

I'm still waiting on my LR UCA's to arrive. I already have 5100's that I'm looking to pair up with the 885s. I had the rear TSB done this past week. Contemplating what else to do...

Edit: Fellas, I was meaning to ask... will this setup be level or what other components will I need to achieve it being level, such as the ToyTec TSB AAL? or any other spacers? Thanks!

It is kind of amazing to me. I was going through the classifieds in another forum and there were an enormous amount of people that had money to spend but did not know if what they were looking at fit.

I will give you an idea of what I mean, for sale was a set of Total Chaos lower control arms for 350. They added a link to total chaos site for anyone to get more info. Some num nut posted something like I have 350 cash in my hand right now...will these fit my truck?

Honestly with all the information provided they still do not know if it will fit their application? If thats the case they probably do not need to be spending their money on it...rant over sorry lol the GF is at work right now so I did not have anyone else to share this with!
