    That was me. Shots didn't come out great. I forgot to put an ND filter on and the wind gust up on Moab Hill was just a bit much for it at times. Didn't want to annoy everyone with the noise for too long either.

    Here's a screen cap though.

    Ran yankee today. We had sunny skies most of the day. Stopped at the shooting area and dumped about 300 rounds. Continued up and over. There were several spots with deep snow. Finally got stuck about 200 yards before coming out on Fall River road. 333C989E-4ADD-458E-848B-524FB0723936.jpgBEECA3F6-9671-4AF1-A058-ECDF6108D21B.jpg771DA793-A5F5-46B8-AE9C-15FFAD08904D.jpg 52B4592D-B36B-4912-B028-1C34376004E2.jpg6E6797D1-0561-447A-97B9-A885B00C2F40.jpg

    I need to start checking Tacomaworld more often. I would have loved to hit Yankee Hill today. Got a real itchy trigger finger and some brand new boom sticks

    It was a last minute decision and I’m terrible about posting in the events page. I’ll hit you up next time bro.

    TRIP REPORT TIME!
    2019 Feb 24 - Switzerland Snow Shoveling Trip

    Attendees:

    @JasonLee
    @Littles
    @EnBoo
    @YamaDirtrider
    ---------------

    Turned onto Switzerland and after this photo we stopped to air down.

    [IMG]

    About 30 minutes in, I was bummed that nobody was going to get stuck with the condition of Switzerland Trail (plowed almost), so we went up a spur. On the way down, I went off the side to try and plow some snow around. I believe I was the first to get stuck (half on purpose). I FINALLY was able to use my own Maxtrax on my own truck (they have been used a half-dozen times on other vehicles including a LMTV a few weeks ago and a Dodge 1500 early Jan). I upgraded to the "buried up to the body / high center" mod.

    [IMG]

    After @Littles tried a few tugs to pull me back, I pulled out the shovel and 4 Maxtrax and started to dig out the 1 foot deep crusty layer on top of 2 feet of sugar snow that I was high centered on. Got on the MaxTrax and back on the trail. We then went to another spur where I had driven last fall and knew the rough steepness/rockyness from then. I bet $10 to anyone that could make it all the way to the top. @bot102 tried first and ended up needing my Maxtrax and got a new upgrade he can speak to. Then @YamaDirtrider sent it hard.

    Good effort. He winched himself out and we all went back down to Switzerland to continue on. It was tame for a long time. I pointed out the entrance to the bottom of Pennsylvania Gulch, we passed Four Mile Canyon and kept going. All the way to Gold Hill Road was tame. We took a few offshoots, but nothing too exciting happened like getting stuck.

    @EnBoo headed home while the remaining 4 of us crossed Gold Hill Road and continued on Switzerland Trail. Shortly we came upon a Jeep that was trying to figure out how to self rescue with a piece of plywood and two Maxtrax. @Littles tried pulling back first but sent himself off the side of the trail and had to abort after @YamaDirtrider tried to yank him back on trail.

    When your hands are chilly and you put your hand in the grab hole on Maxtrax, they like to slice your knuckles off. Always wear gloves.

    [IMG]

    @YamaDirtrider winched up with a snatch block and triangulted off a tree to get the Jeep pointing downhill. Dude was persistent that he could just send it in reverse, split the middle of two trees (and not roll over)... We couldn't get him pulled all the way up (easily), so we ended up sending him down the hill as well.

    https://youtu.be/KlwQ1q_z8u4

    Then everyone but me took turns trying to make it up Knob Spur (458.1A)... until ...

    https://youtu.be/UCmHLsF2sEo

    @Littles popped his NAPA CV.
    He got a tug back down to a flat spot and CV shaft was yanked out to allow for all of the grease to protect the truck from future rust.
