Hadn’t shared it yet, but some poor pics of our last trip to Sheep’s Bridge in late January, which turned into a dirt bike crash victim rescue. I know many of us take a lot of backcountry trips for the remoteness and beauty, but things can go downhill real fast. Like a good Boy Scout, always be prepared! Before setting out, I texted my friend the night before and told him not to forget the trauma kit. It came into a whole lot of use that day. Now I’m outfitting the truck to be even more prepared then ever. She was in horrible shape but luckily survived and is doing well. Oh and wear your damn helmet and protective gear if you’re going to ride!A65A0709-E6EC-4926-80D9-A2BF327CFC3B.jpg 83281D25-810D-4427-899F-1FF91C5E1723.jpg

Good work man. I'm glad I share a state with people like you who are down to help out when the shit hits the fan like that. Restores just a little bit of faith in humanity.

I need to figure out an IFAK setup for the my truck... and get an extinguisher too for that matter.

I have the access package so no rear seats, I applied the loop velcro tape in some stripes across the back panel but I just haven't gotten around to searching out good velcro utility pouches to hold stuff to it. Obviously gotta spread the weight around, anything heavy I would have to put in a cargo net or something.

I’m doing the same exact thing rebuilding my IFAK. I’m also looking for a tiny extinguisher for the cab. I’m also going to take a wilderness first responder course as well. I have a combat lifesaving course complete but that moreso applies to saving a buddy who’s been shot rather than treating people making poor decisions on dirt bikes. Definitely keep me updated and feed me ideas. I’ll be sure do do the same for you!

Camburg UCAs just arrived, with damage to the powdercoat and ABS wire tab. :angrygirl:

Imma vise grip the tab straight and send it, though I will message Headstrong and see if they can't make a claim against UPS and get some of their money back on shipping.
You won't even be able to see the chip when it's on the truck.

... mod day anytime soon? :anonymous:

You can handle it! Plus you need to be close to an alignment shop.

Anyone know what good steel prices are down there? Getting ready to order up for my cage and was quoted $6.07 per foot for 1.75x0.120 DOM

Sounds reasonable, I’m just used to HREW pricing being less than half that.

    @Rextinkleton93 @4Running Daily
    Maybe either of you know?

    Thanks.

Thanks. That was from yavapai steel and they’ll deliver to flag which is nice, but I am heading down to phx a few times in the next few weeks. Would just need to borrow a trailer. Price per stick was $121

I usually use 1.5 120 wall for my little projects, so I’m not sure. Kinda sounds a little pricey to me though but idk. I just walk in and swipe my card and it’s always 3x as much as I was planning on. $100 in my head is always $300 somehow.

What's everyone using in their trauma kits these days, or carrying or whatever? I have extensive gunshot training and whatnot, wouldn't mind catching another course sometime soon and honing my skills for general trauma.

Also, if anyone local is looking for some 2nd gen Meso DC map lights, what do you have for trade? Ordered two of them, knowing that they are short supply and that someone local will probably want one.

Leatherman, duct tape, and Tylenol. But 80% of the people that I usually wheel/ camp with are paramedics so trauma is their job. I bring tools for when their jeeps break down

Speaking of trauma kit, went shooting with a buddy at Table Mesa for the first time last weekend. I should have brought my trauma kit, came across a flipped UTV. Thankfully it was only a broken arm.

That will be my first and last time going out there. Way too busy for my taste.
