so, I have a question the for ya'll. I have three all pro bed bars that I've been using for the RTT. Originally, they were used on the bed of the truck, and now I use them on the trailer. I am looking to set up comms now and am thinking of taking one of the bars off the trailer and putting on the truck to mount the antenna. My question is, would two of the bars be sturdy enough to support the RTT on the trailer alone? Or do i need to keep all three and find another solution for the CB setup? Gracias, in advance.

Two should be good, but there’s also other good options for mounting the antenna

Yeah, I realize there are other options, but I was considering this for the extra height the bar would give over the other hardware options I've seen online. Really want to optimize the range and usage of the CB when i install. Thanks!

CB is pretty limited, HAM will give many more options for distance out in the bush

If range is your concern, don't go with CB. HAM or at least GMRS (licence but no test) midland micro mobile 40watt.

    Looks like a great time.

Did you pull the rainfly off before installing the weather hood or just fold the front portion of it up over the top and then install the hood? I pulled the fly when I was trying mine out but I think I am going to try leaving it on next time.

These last couple of DIY hoist posts are fantastic. Getting me motivated for a serious spring project. Thanks @Papadave418 and @Breakr007

Anyone know where to find the aluminum channel sliders for tent mounting? I want to get some extras to use to mount various things under the tent. I really don't need complete mounting kits, just the sliders. CVT charge an arm and a leg for them and Tepui shows they are out of stock.

Well...that 40% chance of a 1/4 inch of snow turned into waking up to 2-3 inches of WET snow...I thought AZ was warm! Drying out the tent in a low ceiling garage is proving a bit of a challenge, but seems to be coming along. Gonna take a few nights to complete. Was gona just set it up in my work parking lot, but it's in the 20s and snowy every day this week here.

@m603holden Thanks for the attemt at the weather test. What kinda fish are you holding there?

I thought so. Good lookin' one at that! Hope it was/is tasty! :hungry:

There's a lake near Park City full of lunker Browns. Always wanted to pack a tenkara rod in my pack when I take my mtn bike up there, then catch one, ride down, and toss it in the fridge for dinner that night.

    Update:
I noticed that with a memory foam mattress, the outside of the Teton bag seems to "grip" the floor and not slide. While there is some movement of the inner lining, it is much reduced now.

You might check eBay or craigslist for them or something similar. Or maybe check junkyard for the bed rail track off a Tacoma.

Not sure you are understanding what I'm looking for. Bed rail track off a newer Taco wouldn't be helpful in this case and I doubt I'd find anything on ebay or Craigslist that doesn't come with a tent.

I'll just make something that will work.

Your right I miss read it. I thought you were looking for the track, not the part that goes into the track. You problem can make something out of aluminum flatbar. If you make something, post pictures.
