    1. scrub radius. Yeah, I read that you said everything works perfectly, but, sadly, you are mistaken.
    2. wearing out your steering components. This added stress of the wheels being offset so much puts alot of strain on your steering and knuckles.
    3. Miles on your truck. With smaller tires than recommended, you are putting more miles on your odometer than you are actually doing for real. I could never let this happen.
    4. Rock kicking. Sure, you think all is right in the world, and no one cares....you are dead wrong. People care. When a rock hits my windshield, it scares me, and costs me dearly.

You posted this stupid thread asking what we thought. Don't get defensive when we tell you all the real world reasons why it is completely fucking stupid. If you are building it for looks, great...park it and trailer it to your ridiculous shows. Dont drive it. If you must drive it, put some flaps on so your stupidity does not affect those around you.

Looks aside, this is the reason you are getting so much hate.

If the changes you made had zero effect on the public at large you would get a lot more support, regardless of how it looks.

It’s not just rocks: compromising your steering and suspension components is a big hazard if/when something lets go. It could potentially result in injury and death (and not just you). Everything is always “fine” until it isn’t. Why encourage failure points?

I guess the good news is the tires stick out so damn far that the gravel could miss the windshield entirely on the truck behind it, but then it would hit the poor guy in the lane over from you probably

That is the worst when it comes from oncoming traffic. Where I live they sand the roads to add grip for when it’s icy. There is always gravel and sand down so this stance would not fly here.

The same shit everyone else has.
Same could be said for larger than stock tires as well. The odometer also reads incorrect.

Rolling back the odometer isn’t a good idea...

Not defnding the OP's choice but...

Same arguments can be made again. Who wants to read less than it actually has? The point is it’s not accurate either way.

You obviously haven’t driven around much in winter conditions where there’s rocks flying in a 100f radius from guys vehicles that have stance like this.

Seems to me his stick out more than 35s and will be spinning much faster slinging more rock. May want to tailgate less of your going through windshields quick.

This along with a number of other threads on the front page have made me lose all faith in 2nd Gen Forum. Is 3rd Gen the cool forum now?

Rereading my post, yeah, it looks like I'm full of rage as I type. It is actually just frustration.....frustration that arguments are not taken seriously, and only pieces of an argument are addressed. Several comments have been made that address safety. These comments are not being taken seriously. Let's address wheel speed. If a car is travelling at a true 65 mph, but has 29" tires, the tire will spin at a certain speed. If that tire radius is made smaller, to achieve that true 65 mph, the tire must now spin quicker. Add that to the wide stance and no protection.....you have a bad combination and is way more likely to throw debris.

Communities like this exist so that we can learn and teach. But, when an individual choses to do neither, they might as well be another stain on their parents' sheets.
