No we went home and she was eating some soup and a Taco Bell commercial came on. She was like “ooo that looks good” so I told her we’re getting it and to ditch her lame ass soup.

Glad to hear all is well with the world. @EatSleepTacos being his superhero self. Hopefully @GreyGhost16 is making his list of self recovery items needed to purchase.

Randy what would have been needed? From the pic he posted looks like Maxtrax would have come in handy for self extraction.

@BTHawk in case you were worried that the grill you sold me was going to waste, no fear. Had a pork butt smoking at 0730 for some carnita tacos tonight. Cuz it is Taco Tuesday. Added a digital flame controller so now I can mostly ignore it for the next 8 hours.

Maxtrax and a shovel would have worked I think, but 4 maxtrax. We dug him out before winching, and if I had boards I would’ve tried that before winching. Just much easier and safer. It made me want some.

Shit. I go to other folks house to work on my truck. Garage is full of shit and my driveway is a muddy mess. But I am happy to bring the grill wherever. I was just thinking about setting up a solar panel to charge a battery and run the flame controller off an inverter. So I could boondock somewhere and still run it.

Good question... I need to know the answer to this as well. And @EatSleepTacos number on speed dial in case his services are needed again.

Not very good ones though. I would much rather have a shackle than the off road hook.

True. But I'll probably put the shackle kit on it. I mainly want this for self-recovery.

Multiple purposes IMO. Having a winch is great but most times I'm somewhere I'd want a winch, I'd also want some radiator protection from the bottom. It may be twice the price but I would say the added protection is worth it - especially when the OR only comes with a single recovery point (and even that isn't a great one) and you get two more to help improve winching.

I looked at that option as well, but I ultimately decided to wait until I could afford something more like the slimline or even a full bumper with the options that Randy and @velogeek mention. Obviously it's your money though...on another note, I'm kind of digging the wheels on that website.

I've been thinking the same about the wheels too. May be a future purchase for me. I like em..

Is there a meet up scheduled for this month? I have looked through the last couple of pages but have not seen anything.

We had a meet last Saturday. I fucked up, because I wanted to tag you, but couldn't remember your username. I will write a note to my self for the next one.
