Ugh ya you need to get that taken care of. :)

The snorkel works as intended. The plastic is good quality and fits the truck. No issues with vibrations or air flow.

The install is a bear. Go into it knowing it will suck and you’ll be ok.

Roger that, appreciate the feedback, heading to Tennessee next month and seen a few shots of what I’m in for, depending on the spring rainfall. Concerned with dirt, debris, and such. I made a bandaid for now, kinda like a DIY fender liner using some giant mud flap material off a Buffalo.

Nice good call, I was brainstorming just last night about a makeshift fender liner. Mine are still in at the moment but was thinking later when they are removed using roofing tar paper or something.

Are you worried about debris/water getting in the air box with a snorkel?

Those are Trepador radials I assume and not the bias ply comp version? They are gnarly looking for sure

I was. I eventually got a K&N open intake. I made a plexiglass cover to block the hole where the stock airbox scoop is. I found lots of little rocks at the bottom of my airbox when I removed mine.

    They are the bias ply.

Not at all, the snorkel is designed to force water out at the top using centrifugal force. Likewise with some sand, it will get pushed out before entering the min snorkel body.

It is definitely better than the intake in the wheel well as far as debris. I sucked up so much dirt from the wheel well.

If I didn't have a snorkel I would be. The Airbox is very exposed when you remove the fender liner

So why are you still putting a fender liner back in? Also, I can't find pricing on OMF's website for the SCS beadlocks, would you mind telling me how much those set you back?

Ah so I put the liner back in because I noticed that all of the mud and dirty wheel spray was spraying the inside of the wheel well and all over the back of the headlight area; the dirty water was actually running out underneath the snorkel and headlights. Made the truck look like it was crying mud. Hard to explain but here is a pick. So even though the truck would be clean all the road dirt was coming out. I plan to rip the liners out when the new bumper arrives and will figure something out. This isnt too bad below but it has been worse

    IMG_2492.jpg

The pricing comes from SCS for the OMF conversion and came to $425 a wheel. After taxes lugs and stuff it was about $2400 for a set of 5. Average cost for a set of beadlocks.

Beadlocks are unique and require a bit of maintenance so make sure it's what you want. :)

Not only that but you can actually dent the fender and hood from the inside without a liner in place from rocks getting thrown up by the tires. 1/8" ABS Plastic and a heat gun and you can make your own.

Im honestly just having a hard time finding rims.

I think I’d like to stick to 16s, but need help figuring out the best backspacing? Also any width recommendations? 16x8?

So far scs F5 seem great with the 3.5 backspacing but would like more options.
