Yep, GG Smash. First day, so still getting used to it, but I thought it climbed great. Pretty much everything I've read about it says it climbs way better than specs & weight would indicate, and I'd have to preliminarily agree. I had it set up in Crush mode. Would buy again in a heartbeat, but again, this was just the first day.

Sort of. This was taken on that fire road that kind of splits Cheeseboro and LV Open Space, so this was looking over into Cheeseboro. I started at the LV trail head, and used the single track connectors that connect this fire road and the Bell Canyon fire road, so was basically riding on the LVOS side.

Great vids, and what a contrast. Looks we’ve got a few MTB/Taco folks right here in Calabasas. We should organize a local ride sometime soon.

Three hour drive from DFW, but well worth the trip for my skill level and "beginnerness". Drove out in the morning and home right after for a late dinner, lol.

I completely spaced taking pics and/or video (having too much fun), but YouTube is loading up with videos from there now. What I CAN validate is the existence of the "go pro effect"... That stuff was a LOT steeper irl than it looked on YouTube, haha! I'll be going again soon, that's for sure! Big bear sounds awesome, when you going?

Snow Summits famous jumpline called west ridge, this is from a couple seasons ago, they've since changed a bit of the line, mainly the last third and the intro roll in.

Not a very exciting picture, but actually the first time I’ve hauled four bikes in my Taco. Usually just our two in the bed or on our OneUp. Home Depot moving blanket tailgate pad. Great ride on a perfect day, after weeks of rain, at Ft Ord National Monument, and excellent post-ride burritos at Baldemiro’s in Seaside, CA. There’s been a few thefts from the back of pickups in our community recently, while the driver was stopped at a traffic light or stop sign, so I’m running a cable through the frames even if we never leave the bikes unattended.

Cromag, kona, Santa Cruz lynskey, you have some great options. For wheels, look into light bicycle carbon rims and onyx silent hubs. So choice

Thanks for the input! I’m more of an industry nine hubs guy hah. Onyx hubs are to pricey. Possibly looking into a Commencal absolut or a transition PBJ. Just wanted some first hand experience from anyone that has ine

Put a RS Pike DJ fork on it and live well. Use whatever high engagement hubs you want (I have CK on mine since all the bearing parts are King on my build) but I have bikes with King, Hope, Hadley, and Paul Components hubs. I keep a nearly full length seat post hidden down in the frame for the times you need to actually ride.

I have since removed the front brake and changed from Zee to XT for the rear, but this bike is decent.
