I think the guy may have done some "things" to this truck. It would chirp pretty effortlessly and the hood would rise about 12" when i touched the gas

Also, the raptor weighs a bit more.

The nice thing about those bigger v8's is you can just throw moar fuel at it and see moar powah pretty easily. I want to get a 6.2L Raptor at some point. Gotta get the wife her Army Green 4Runner first though lol

So I made sure the computer was up to date... tried installing both x86 and x86 64bit and still getting this screen. What gives? I saw something about it but that was probably 10 or 15 pages ago.

just ducking in as i've been busy. that and weather around here has been horrible. has this been addressed yet with 1.05? it's my only real complaint.

I understand priorities. Oldschool 6.2 vs the new twin-turbo? $$$ is a big gap lol

Well for me, I want the 6.2 "becuhz vee-ate bro" lol I already have a v6 with the Taco, and will have another in the driveway when the wife gets her 4runner. But v8's are pure fun and music to the ears.

I know all of the benefits of the TTv6, but all the same....I'll take the v8 for enthusiast reasons. Same reason why we don't intend to sell our 4th gen 4R v8

Yep, I don’t care if they know or not. I’ll flash back to stock prior to bringing it it. But the chances of me bringing to to the dealer is 1% anyways. 32k and the last time it went to the dealer was when I picked her up with 2 miles

I'd like to see a performance tune with milder tip in. Til then I'm rocking the 91 base.
Honestly, I got the tune to be smooth, not for power.
IMO 91 Base is great. But I'll try the performance again if the tip in is tamed.

I'd be interested in a milder tip-in 91 performance tune too.

Tip in is great, but i've got an SSO bumper and winch. I wouldn't touch tip in

You can download all the tunes and still have them. A milder tip-in would be good for those who want it.

He's not talking about taking that one away. He's talking about adding one for people without a SSO bumper and winch.

So, I have been running 04B03_1.04_87_Octane.bin since last Spring and was looking to update to 1.05. I am an early adopter and have the purple dongle. I see that there are now two sets of instructions. One for dongle and one for dongless. The one for those of us with the dongle doesn't address where we should go to get the updated .bin files. Am I overlooking something? I think I used Toyota Tacoma Flash Manager when I downloaded 1.04. The new Flash Manager downloads a .pcm file. Is the .pcm file basically the same as the .bin files we downloaded in the past?

No one said the performance tune is too aggressive. They said the tip in is too aggressive.

Isn't that why 1.05 base is for? Am i missing something?
