I just ordered tracks to add to my caps. I think only pain is drilling more holes, but you can add and take away the rack If wanted

 

That’s really what I should have done, but I was too cheap to buy the tracks.

 

Proline are only like 50 bucks, but I just got the yakima ones. Should be here Friday so I can get them on

Ahh, so that's how you bypass the need for reinforcement. I assumed there was a way. Just tryin to store all this info for a friend.

 

Mans gotta have his priorities. If I was gonna have an RTT up there or something then I would’ve done it, but for the occasional thing it’s fine as is. Plus my roof is reinforced since it’s a contractor cap.

 

That makes a lot of difference. I would think.
