My Baja Tacoma, thankfully is absolutely squawk free from day one.....and soon will need the 10k service...that's what bothers me, the results after the dealers service. Maybe i am just anal in that regard.

Sounds most likely #1 tires....or less likely #2 drive shaft.....maybe one of the factory balance weights fell off or a glob of road something stuck on?

I had/have the same problem on my new 2019 model with less than 1000 miles. Luckily my friend works at the dealership so my experience has been pleasant. The first trip they changed out my entire rear axle and it helped the problem but it still slightly exist. I took it back days later and asked to test drive another new one. It didn't vibrate at 20mph so I told them to try and fix it again. This is day two of driving a rental through my dealership, my friend said there waiting to hear back from Toyota as on what to do next. Hopefully they can fix it for good. I have 90,000 mile warranty so at least that's a good thing in this whole ordeal.

Yes, same here. As he pulled the rear axle tsb but unfortunately that didn't apply to my model. (Said excluding TRD)

Update...Just talked to the dealer and he said Toyota told them to replace the driveshaft and that "should" fix the problem. So in other words, they don't know, their just using the shotgun affect. Replace parts and hope it works...could it be a transmission issue?

Looking forward to finding out if the driveshaft fixes your vibration , my 2018 has done the 20mph rumble strip feeling since day one , I’ve already had the drums and axles replaced with no real improvement . I’ve suspected it may be driveshaft related so it’ll be interesting to see if it cures yours .

The tech that did my axle/drum replacement talked to area service rep , he was aware of this problem but could not offer a concrete answer on a fix

I have this issue, between 20-30 mph. 2 trips to the dealerships now, and they checked my tire balances multiple times. Service manager pulled another similar truck off the lot and it did the same thing, so he said it must be the design and it's normal. It's not normal, it's a problem (maybe in the design) but I can't seem to get any traction in getting it resolved.

Well that's good that they are aware of the issue, I've contacted corp but haven't gotten a response back .

Feels like they just blowing us off because they have no solution. By telling us it's normal isn't right

I drove another random 2019 sr5 at the dealership and it did the same thing ... I’m also starting to think that the rumble strip vibration on the 18/19 Tacoma’s may not have the same problem as the 16/17 axle/drum issue was causing . Time will tell

Subbing as I did install a lift a about 4 weeks ago, and all the symptoms you have guys have here seem to be the same I am currently having. It could be the truck always had the vibration, but I may have never noticed until I lifted the truck. I am reaching to TW members to see if I may need to adjust DS angles as doing the lift just really threw angles out of whack.

I am taking the approach to correct the driveline angles but interested to find out if there may be more than expected in the 3rd Gen

    Fingers cross
Hope they will find a fix for all the 18-19 models

The dealer took it upon themselves and bought back my 4 month old 2018 Sport DCLB a few weeks ago as they were unable to resolve this on mine. They really take care of their customers on a personal level!

Toyota Canada basically said "haha go f**k yourself". The local dealer got me into a new Tacoma from the lot. DCSB this time. It vibes a bit here and there under the same conditions but nothing like the other truck!

Was more pronounced when really cold after a warm spell (ex 2deg C to -15deg C). Interior panels were starting to shake vigorously and the noise drowned out the cab like a huge subwoofer haha.

They had the truck for 5 weeks and replaced the front diff, rotors, torque converter and so on. Their master mechanic has it now and they are determined to figure it out!

I'll post here if I hear anything on it!

    Cheers

I’m at the service center for this, second time I’ve brought it up. Doubt they’ll do anything. Here primarily for my ongoing shitty brake situation.

Rear drums are starting to shake on the new truck now too. 2600 kms (1600 miles). Had them replaced on the last one a couple times within 10k kms (6000 miles). Terrible...
