Anyone had luck getting a TRD pro under MSRP with tax/tags included ?

Had a dealer here discount their advertised price by $1k, then turned around and asked for nearly $3k in tax/tags and “dealer fees” when I went onsite to close the deal. I walked. Where i live , tax and tags would be closer to half that cost

I've seen that reported twice but, really, who cares. you get the deal you get. i got mine at msrp but i was the first mt 3g pro in Texas so that was actually a bit of an accomplishment. in those days markup was 2-5k with the occasional psychotic 10k markup. but if you feel a rapport with your salesmen, it's never a bad idea to put all your cards on table IF you're ready to walk.

We’ve seen up to $10K premium, based on location. In my area, Pro’s are ordered with almost every dealer accessory available. Everything from bed extender to first aid kit, usually adding another 4.5 to 5K above MSRP... and absolutely NO discount. If you can get a Pro without all the dealer addendums and extra ordered accessories at MSRP, then buy it..!

It’s funny. This particular dealer is 5 miles from me, one of the smallest Toyota dealers I’ve seen. I went there in 2010 to buy the new 4Runner. They we’re borderline rude and didn’t seem to care. So I went to a competitor 17 miles south and bought it there.

Nearly a decade later I give them another chance....with a similar result. I am going to the other dealer on Thursday. If the numbers look right , I’ll do it

Lucky, I think they would apply the sales tax to the respective state the buyer resides in. Otherwise , I’d be taking a cross country trip

Deal... looks like base plus floor mats as only option
Agree... there is no premium markup... all Pros have 4.5K to 5.0K in dealer added accessories. Thus the crazy price, can’t deal at all... dealer added items include; roof rack, emergency assistance kit, tube steps, bed step, universal tablet holder, door edge guards, deck rail camera mount, TRD performance air filter, exterior cargo net, first aid kit, cargo divider, hood graphics, mud guards, bed extender, D rings, spare tire lock, bed Mat, tailgate insert, glass break sensor, paint protection film...

Just sent you a message. Going to be listing my 2018 Tacoma TRD Pro next week on cars.com. Cavalry Blue, 6MT, oem bed extender, bed mat, 5,800 miles and looks brand new. I'd give a discount to a Tacoma World member over what I'm listing it at online.

As I said in the message, I'm an hour north of O'Hare (Chicago), 25 minutes south of Milwaukee. Selling because work is giving me an SUV to use starting March 1st. Between that, my wife's Kona, and the FR-S, we have no need for the 4th vehicle.

I'd love to sell it to a Tacoma World member if possible.

If this doesn’t work out, I’m waiting for the ‘20 Pro. Won’t be able to get voodoo blue, but that may make my fiancé happy. She said it looks like a 21 yo’s truck looking for attention :D (I’m 38)

4Runner Trail wheels and Toyo Open Country ATII tires 265-70-17. Cosmetic stuff like Pro grille and OffRoad black bumper trim, vinyl delete on side, added hood graphic, OEM tube steps.
Folks, out the door means AFTER tax, title, license, doc, tire fees, everything. I see so many posts here that talk about paying X "out the door" that go on to list mucho other stuff and dealer BS separately. OUT THE DOOR means OUT THE DOOR. Total price. Including EVERYTHING. It'd be nice if everyone got the message so these "what did you pay" threads are meaningful. And actually, OTD is subjective regionally so really the only meaningful number is the Cash Price on Line 1 of the contract. What did the dealer sell the vehicle for? If there's a trade in, any numbers quoted here are meaningless because we have no idea the condition of the trade.

I absolutely share this frustration when I see people post OTD. If you don't live in my state, I have no idea what you really paid.
