So now I’m a little confused. The rims came with these center caps (in pic). Wouldn’t that cover the gap and hub rings would not be needed?

no. hub rings go into the hub bore on the inside of the wheel.

I got that. But these caps came with the wheel. Shouldn’t they line up perfectly and not require it since there shouldn’t be any gap?

so the caps go onto the hub then the wheels slide on? that makes zero sense on modern day wheels. if that is the case I personally would trash those wheels. aren't the center caps plastic?

Yeah they slide on. They are aluminum or something, not plastic.

can you put in the wheel and post a pic of the backside of the wheel?

does the cap slide up and down on the hub if you try to move it?

the caps should slide in from the back side of the wheel. thats why theres an O ring. but you will still need hub rings to make it right. but personally I would not run wheels with that style center caps. just my 2 cents though.

Not really a way to show anything from behind it. The cap doesn’t move at all.

sure there is. you can take a pic of the hub seat. where the hub bore in the wheel meets the hub on the truck.

You don’t need rings looks right from the photos you provided...center bore of wheel is 108, truck hub is 106.1 and the center cap makes up the difference. If there was any slop the wheel would be sitting on the wheel studs and I don’t see that in the photo.

with those style center caps I am not even sure he could use hub rings on them. that is why I wanted to see the back side of the wheel. but I wouldn't run those wheels on my truck. I hate push thru center caps.

ok. so you can't use hub rings with those. sorry.

are those 4 lil notches raised on the center cap? or are they indentions? is they are raised, that is not good as those should fit flat against the hub of the truck. that is probably where your vibration/shake is coming from in my opinion.

They run flat against the wheel when I press them in further. I’m at a loss. Any suggestions on better black rims? Gonna fight with 4WP on getting a refund.

Well good news and bad news. Swapped to stock wheels, vibrations are less and no steeering wheel shake but that little shimmy/shake every 5-10 seconds at 50mph+ is still there. Headed to dealer tomorrow to see if I’m crazy or not.
