New guy here in Las Cruces. Just bought a 2019 Taco. I wanted to say hi and see if this was an active section of the forum.

Welcome. It is pretty active at least on a weekly basis. Sometimes more. You can scroll back through the dates and get an idea. There was just a meet up in ABQ with people interested in more events.

 

Got my new spare, the next set i'm going with. 235/85r16. Same diameter as my 285, just much skinnier.

 

I love that white wall but what’s that about an inch skinnier than stock?

 

Hi Man I’m from Cruces also congrats on the new truck. I don’t have any suggestions on 4x4 places yet because I haven’t used any yet but I would be curious also.

 

Ran into a guy yesterday off of Triviz with a really nice Taco. He turned me on to Rockin Rods here in town. Said that’s where he got all his work done at a very reasonable price: https://www.rockingrod.com/

I am actually having my lift and tire install done at Big O Tires off of Sonoma. Pretty knowledgeable bunch there. I have a friend who is friends with the manager there.

 

Where did you get that tailgate tire mount? That’s exactly what I want but figured it would interfere with the back up camera?

Awesome thanks for the heads up. Never heard of them until now. Also I didn't know Big O did lifts. A friend and I are going to do my 5100 hopefully soon but its always good to have place in case.

 

Its a Pelfreybilt high clearance rear with swing out. Yes it does interfere with the camera, but they did mske a relocation kit before the went out of business. Maybe BAMF still has them with the lot they bought from Pelferybilt auction.

I have some spidertrax 1.25" wheel spacers for sale, anyone in NM interested? purchased a month ago, used them, but with my new wheels, not needed.

 

I'll bet if you surveyed all the "Adventure Travelers" in attendance, less than half of them would respond that they had spent even a single day on dirt in the last six months.

Meanwhile their rigs will have thousands of dollars worth of accessories hanging all over them.

I'm not ragging on you specifically, @Jmad1997 , I know you're in the business. This weather has me moody, I guess.

 

That may be a pretty fair assessment. I hope you make it out again this year I never got the pleasure of meeting you at the last event in person. Come by my booth and hangout in the shade.
