Would have loved it. One of the best things about the concert hall I work at is it's in the middle of no where. So no need to shut down a town haha

Still super cool. Wonder what microphones they used. Pretty sure it was DPA mics, my favorite.

 

It was very fortunate to have fallen in the way it did. Could have been much worse.

The only real damage was to the that bush/tree thingie that was right at the corner of the garage. The top end of the fallen tree split it and broke it, so we took it down too.

 

I did save most of the rounds (pictured) but Mark says they will be a bitch to split as they are very knotted. Plus very wet. Yeah, I have a bit now, but it'll be a while before they are usable, if ever.

 

Meh, probably not worth it. If there were more of it maybe.

I'll just let them sit and dry out. I might weigh one now and see how much weight it loses by the end of next summer.

 

WOW! Glad everything worked out and that the house was OK. Close call for sure. We had a few small branches go, but nothing major. Two "sidewalk trees" fell onto cars on our street, and I was the guy with the chainsaw and thankful neighbors. Crazy what can happen with a bit of snow around this place.

How big do you want? 2K is a crazy price unless you're trying to cover something humongous.

 

Yeah old radiator is back in.

Think it had had a slow small leak and final lost enough coolant to over heat.

Still haven't been able to get a hold of Champion.

Oh idk. I was half joking. Though if you can do it I would take a few smaller panels. Like 2'x4' or something.

It's a diffuser for audio. Pretty cool design. Know it's a rip off on price though haha

 

Yeah, the biggest issue would be getting them to you in a way that they didn't get destroyed. Our usual "hand off on a trip" probably wouldn't be too successful in this case.

I'd imagine that the actual cost of 2'x4' with plywood backing and a frame is on the order of $125 for materials + labor, just to give a ballpark.

Cool. Good to know. I'm not at the point of room treatment. We were looking at them today and found that one. Super cool design from a athstetic point of view. Not sure how well it it works vs others. Few cool diy options.

Another thing I know some people do that mow in the summer is christmas light hanging stuff. Can make a killing doing that too.

 

Anyone interested in doing a trip in March to Utah? Planning on hiking some Slots. Still figuring out which ones and a route. But starting to piece it together.

What I'm shooting for anyway. Once my work season starts I won't have time to mess with it like I want so.

Been at it daily the past 2 weeks. A lot to do yet but, it's coming along. Harvesting wires from the parts truck has taken more time than I would of guessed. Toyota uses a few different sizes throughout and trying to find the right lengths of the right size is time consuming. Had to add 2'6" to the overall length of the harness. 70+ wires made for over 140 soldering connections.

 

Ouch haha that's a lot.

Always the worst part about engine swaps though.
