2nd and 3rd gen are kinda similar when it comes to suspension. When I switched to 35's, I cycled my suspension to make sure I had cut enough and not hitting the fender well. Just take out the struts and then cycle and see where it hits and then cut...don't ask how I know :anonymous:
Also, watch out for your CV boots and make sure they aren't rubbing on each grove. If so, you went too high on a lift.
Two other things I did to fit 35's besides BFH were: put quarter inch spacers under bumpstops to limit up travel and installed 1'' body lift. Hope this helps.

wish you luck, as all others do you will make it work. Just means cuts were you may not want to. As long as your happy its all that matters. We started with shit jobs and zero college ed. we made things work and worked hard to get were we are. Im proud to have raised a great kid. I hope he will be better then me in many ways. My son has made me a better person by just me wanting to be better as a role model for him.
Ive finished high school at age 30, I went through a 5 yr apprenticeship, and taking night classes all to better myself. and in my mid 40s I still keep taking classes and apply for better jobs/ promotions. I want him to see that hard work pays off.
You are a great guy, Im sure you will raise great kids. Nick if you want more kids do it sooner then later. There is always a way to make things work.

Good man. I too am trying to provide my twins (boy and girl) a better life than I did as a kid. The plan was 1 and done, but we got a surprise at the sonogram. That's why I got a second job and doubled my rate for that work. No sleep but it is no longer about me now that I am a father.

This is the first year I am paying taxes for my side business as an independent ecological consultant. I've been throwing 40% of each check in savings for taxes. Because my work involves private reserves with small, cutsy, and old unmaintained roads (basically two tire ruts) through open land, rolling hills, etc.. I am going to try to write off all my truck purchases such as new wheels, tires, suspension, winch, bumpers, and so on. It is my work vehicle being upgraded for the terrain I drive through for my side projects so I figure it's appropriate to write it off :notsure:

    Sounds legit right?

Next year if all goes well I will be writing off sliders, skids, and who knows what else.

I like your style . It will go fine just keep, them receipts in your tax file. and long your mileage in a journal for work travel with gas and maintenance receipts.. This one used to be my big saver when i was an electrician. Now im struggling to find write offs. need a new business.

Ok... Swap is near completion. Filling the trans now. When I go to put it in park, there is a grinding sound. What does that mean? Hopefully someone knows the answer, that is still awake.

From what I've read on this thread I am guessing you succeeded. I bet your son is already writing with pencils and pens too , not green crayons like his pops.

Damn, in my line of work those that transport logs to the mill we like to call the special. I leave crayons in our ticket box and label them trucker snacks. I've seen truckin fuckers and then fuckin truckers. The latter being those labeled special.
