Socal has 5-10k "market adjustment value" straight up listed on the sticker. No goodies included. No bed extender. No first aid. Nada. They just flat out jack up the price to get the number they want

WoW... at least we’re getting something for the outrageous price, even if we don't want it (aka, a reach around)

My brother works for Lexus and I was able to get my pro manual for $38.5K +tax. I leased with nothing down and I pay 447 per month for a 3 year 36k lease.

Looks like Larry Miller. I walked and got a MT Pro at Karl Malone in Salt Lake for 6000 less then LM and they lied and told me there were no MT Pros. A fun drive back too through Moab.

Just got my ‘19 TRD Pro Sunday. The dealership I went to didn’t budge at all when it came to pricing. They told me that most of the dealership were marking up the TRD pros because of how popular they. I don’t know how much of that is true but I was able to get the dealership rebate of $650 but that’s about it. Better than nothing I guess.

The tax is paid to the state vehicle is registered in. If you have a relative in a no tax state you could use their address to register it.
However if you are found out your gonna have a bad time.

Paying MSRP OTD would be awesome for me, 10% sales tax here
If there are no mark ups just buy it, i waited almost 2 months to get an allocation of what i wanted and didnt get one, now on the list for 2020

I got my 18 pro last summer, I paid 41.5k otd. Sc has state tax but new vehicle max tax is 500 bucks. actually total was like 41,678 or so close with new tags, plates and registration.

My situation was different since I’m very good friends with the finance guy and that dealer sold 400 new vehicles that month. I went on the last day of the month because I know they wanted that all time record of 400 sales. I got quotes from other dealers in the southeast and they best was 2500 under msrp.

What's even more ridiculous is the people willing to pay their price especially in light of the near record amount of 7 million folks who are 90 days or more behind on their auto loan payments.

A lot of people in Washington state used to do that; they'd register in Oregon. Local police outsmarted many of them by simply parking at the local schools and watching people drive up to drop their kids off.
