What does Stage 2 mean? What other Stages are there? Sorry, if this has been asked. I've tried google but am having a hard time finding any explanations.

 

Stage 1 would only be the center winch bumper. Stage 2 would be the addition of the wings.

Really love the look of this design but I'm curious how the flex between the body and frame have been addressed? On another thread it was noted that flex between cut fenders and aftermarket bumpers could be upwards to about .75" or more. Do these wings bolt directly to the original slimline bumper and the fenders or just the bumper? Are they designed to flex under extreme articulation?

No backside pics just yet. We're changing the structure slightly for reinforcement. The single front attachment point on the drivers side is retained, but you'll want to use the shackle mounts as the recovery location. The fender liners are trimmed as well.

no, sorry. The interest was not great enough the last time we tried an aluminum option. For most, saving an additional 20 lbs in weight, for the additional cost simply isnt worth it.

The stage 2 set bolts directly to the stage 1 Slimline Hybrid bumper and is free to move independently of the body. We've taken our 4runner design exactly like this one on many trails with absolutely no issues with flex.

 

@SouthernStyleOffRoad Will the full bumper you mentioned previously be essentially the stage 2, but fully welded rather than the bolt together option in this thread? Or will that be a completely different animal?

The plan is to have the cut line on the plastic be the same, but more than likely there will be some slight differences to acomplish certain goals.

 

Glad I was being a procrastinator on the Slimline... I'll buy a one-piece stage 2 the day of the drop. Awesome looking.

Not yet, but we are focusing on the 2016+ Tacoma product line for the first half of this year. This will include bumpers, sliders, roof racks, bed racks, and other accessories.

 

Any chance of adding skid plates to the line up?

 

That's not really our forte', but you never know.
