I’ll post pics when I get a chance today, it’s easy and straight forward...probably about $10 in materials if that. :)

Let me know how it works out. I was just thinking to myself this morning that I would like to see the trans and transfer case temp. I was running in 4WD because of the wet icy snow we had last night.

I had my wife hold the tailgate at an awkward angle and tightened the hose clamp that way from underneath. It would take a lesser mind, or someone in a hurry, a minute to figure out how to get to the clamp end. I also used one of those square end hose clamps, rather than the standard Phillips nut drive hose clamps.

You could use a standard washer with the same OD that I used. It just needs to fit inside of the cable end. You will just need to drill out the ID so it will fit over the shoulder bolt that the cable rotates on. I would source a grade 8 because a chepo washer will chew up and twist when you try to drill it out.

I paid 1k for it. its mounted strictly on the 6 studs that held the crash bar. If anyone knows what can be done to minimize the gap, feel free to PM me. I have a feeling that it just needs to be readjusted.

I had a bad gap when I first put it on, but NOT that big and angled. I ended up cutting the factory plate in the front off and welding a steel plate and adjusted to fit better. and way more secure.

I had mine just on the factory studs for a bit. It didt really fit well and the first time I hit it on a rock it knocked the studs and 2 of them were stripped. It rattled the whole way home. The bumper came with some brackets that I could never figure out as well. I ended up cutting the factor studs and very thin factory plate that was welded to the frame and welded a much thicker steel plate to the frame to mount it to. I was putting the winch in and I know for sure if I would not have changed that plate the bumper would have come off the first time I used the winch. The gap is needed for flex but your is not looking right. it a sick ass bumper for sure.

    Very easy to do!

    - Buy yourself a 5mm pre-wired LED

    - Pop the knob off

    - Hot glue the led just like in the pic.
    E9F33911-B885-4245-9E38-FA049452B468.jpg

    - There’s a little hole at the very bottom of the switch, you’re able to run the wires through there. You have to remove the radio bezel and A/C controls, it’s a little tricky but eventually you will see the wire and pull it right through.

    - Tap into the wires on the A/C controls

    - Make sure to leave some slack in the wire at the switch, that you can still turn it. You may have to play with how the wires tuck in the switch to allow full movement of the switch.

Nice work, I initially started with the 4 runner switch but it was too bulky. Eventually worked my way up to the hilux switch. Ya you gotta spend a few bucks buts its Clean AF IMO

Don’t get me wrong, I like it but for the money, rather spend it on something else. Can’t go wrong for less than $10. :)

Just a bunch of old crap
Got this bad boy all sanded, masked and prepped for tinted blue bedliner to match my truck. Gets sprayed today and gets installed on Friday along with their Shadow tent. Finally something easier to set up and break down for camp now that I'm handicapped.
