2”, 3”, or 4” lift?

I’m torn and not sure what lift is ideal for both smooth on and off road. But for sure I’m getting bronze 16 or 17 inch wheels.

Any advice out there for ideal lifts.

I’m looking to do mild overland, and forestry roads. Nothing major just looming to get a solid lift that will perform well and last a long time with a bit of flex with out pissing away loads of money.

Sounds to me like don’t really need a lift. For minimal money spent you can snag a set of TRD off road take offs for really cheap to have a little bit of a better ride off road. Or go bilsteins 5100 thats very economical for a lift and very popular on TW

 

Are you putting on a new front bumper/skid plate? Are you putting in a bed rack or camper? What are you doing besides trail riding? If it’s your daily driver and it’s just to fit tires need to know the size.

 

For 17” you can go skinny with no run 255/75/17

Keep it stock it’ll last the longest and perform the best. Plus you won’t be in here complaining about your lift. Win win win all around.

Then around 60k miles when everything is worn out upgrade to something better, you’ll have a really good idea of what you need and want then.

 

I’m stayin stock height going to 255/85/16 when my Goodyear’s wear out!! All your steering components will like you for longer if you stay stock height!!

 

I did the Bilstein 6112/5160 combo with just 1.5" lift in front and the 1" larger 265/75R16 tires. I feel like this gave me improved off-road capabilities with almost no on-road (daily driving) penalty. I have no odd sounds, no vibrations, no "what the heck is that??" issues that seem common on bigger lifts.

 

I been thinking 33” tires scs 10 dark matte bronze wheels. I do want to get either a cbi front bumper or southern style off road slimline front bumber. Rear bumber set up with tire mount.

 

I did the same set up after reading prob every thread on this set up lol no complaints here and no odd sounds which I was terrified of giving the fact that the truck only has 10k on the clock

 

Stock truck can do a lot more then you think, you could start slow and do 5100's then 6112's then Icon Stage 3 then Fox 2.5's or just use your stock truck, get some sliders and save up while the stock tires die for Fox. Saves you some money now and in the long run if you think that you would upgrade beyond Bilstein 5100's

 

If you’re going to start adding weight you’ll have to go bigger coils on your suspension to keep the height like 650 or 700lb springs so you don’t sag.
