They replace the tpms sensor seal and nut.
The only problem is if the nut is seized they can snap that or strip it and you need a new sensor.
We don't replace or try to unless it's leaking and then we warn cust the poss.

To much salt up here. Anything more than a few years only I automatically add a sensor. Then if I save it I'm a hero.. Then they know I'm not one to fuck them over.
Had a guy long time ago attempt to watch me work on his car. He got a chair and sat of the side in the shop. I asked him what he was doing . He said I'm going to watch and make sure you do it right.
    I said oh really.
Put the car down, drove it outside and got another job.

He went up to the owner and complained and the owner said oh well, you must have pissed him off.
I kinda liked my job 35 years ago.

You might not like me as a customer as I also like to watch the techs work on my vehicles but I stay outside the bay behind the chain !!!!

I did have a good laugh once with a tech doing the alignment on my Camaro !!!! . Watched this overweight tech try and climb over the door bar of my roll cage and into a fixed position race seat . That was the best 15 minutes

I always tell the new Techs at work. Maintenance is a spectator sport. It seems every time I open an electrical cabinet, someone has to be there watching me. then another person stops and then the advice on how to fix it starts.

All it took was literally one trip in the Desert on dirt road to convince me to get a better tire . No traction and the sidewalls took a beating

You can never go wrong with the truth but sometimes you gotta be careful who you're telling it to and how you tell them especially when going up the food chain.

The phrase I us is, " I going to tell you something, your not going to like it. But I'm going to say it anyway".
I always get the deer in the headlights look.
I just make sure what I say is true.

    Good choice.

I gave them all a good laugh when I told them I was naming it Henry, I figured for what they do all day, they needed it.
I washed clothes, refinished the threshold before it rained (its been swelling to the point we can't open the door very well), spilled a good amount of stain on the hallway rug (I will pay for that) and the house now smells like clear finish spray.

    Should have gotten paint on.

    But I am a moron

    And I digress.

I am tired, thanks for asking.
