What reservoir brackets are you guys using for rear shocks? Going to be installing some Fox shocks I got from @Bentrodder and never mounted resi’s before.

 

Assuming this is weld on.

For the resi yes, but the bracket is welded onto the frame

As an aside though, wanted one of those PB gas tank skids for a while now...but in aluminum. Hoping some are still around for the BAMF-termath sale, not holding my breath though.

 

So, 4X4 swapping was not the only thing I was working on this weekend.

Completely re-wired the solenoids on my project winch and wired it to the truck.


Re-located the plug for the remote to a more convenient location.


Deleted the stupid stock charging ports (that never seemed to charge anything right). And wired them direct, so I can charge when the truck is off. Red=Starting battery / Blue= Aux Battery.


Winch works like a Champ... just need to run the line, splice the hook, and re-install the halogen lights tonight. (looks like I'll need to do a one inch body lift to clear the switch lol j/k)

So last night while driving on the freeway I heard a squirting noise that the truck made. Then I couldn't accelerate. As the truck slowed down the engine shut itself off.
I go look under the hood and find that in the corner radiator there is a huge hole. Water was all over the engine. So it would start at all.
Left the truck in some military housing place.
I replaced the radiator this morning and it started but... I checked the oil dip stick and it was burning water!!
Any idea to what caused that?

 

Blown head gasket?
