Would it be bad for the diff to use the locker while pulling them out?

So by the time I got out to the highway someone had already pulled him out with a bigger “badder” truck. Jeez no call to say “hey don’t bother I’m getting pulled out right now”

Anyways all I had was a chain. Glad I didn’t have to pull his ass out. Definitely will be buyjng a strap just for this reason now and keeping it in the back seat storage compartment for the future (if bozos need to be pulled out)

Yeah. I could imagine the owners manual telling you not to do it. I haven’t read it though.

    Can confirm.

Source: Pulled a Civic SI out of a snowbank for a squadron of bros last week. Tow hook was nice.

Just enough to look kinda cool.
If you're going to tow someone out just use your head, don't take unnecessary risks, and make sure they understand that stuff can happen (bumpers can be ripped off, parts can be broken, or worst of all someone can get hurt).

Bumper ripped off from experience, I was younger.

I’m sorry to hear you need a truck to qualify for a man card. Mine stays in my wife’s purse and goes everywhere she goes.

Can confirm... chains will break faster then straps. Broke lots of chains pulling down Iraqi steel gates and fences before acquiring a strap. :D

What year Corolla? Up to like 2000, or maybe even 2010. There are small hooks under the front bumper of the Corolla.

I would be less worried about breaking the Taco than breaking something on the Corolla then having him or his insurance coming after you for damage. If you end up trying to be the Good Samaritan down the road, be smart about it and use a good tow point on his vehicle and yours.
