Just drove 35 min which should have been a 10 min normal drive to dealership to get truck inspection. Sat down in waiting room, grabbed a free cup of coffee, 15-20 minutes pass, service manager comes out and says he couldn't perform inspection because of weather? Tech has to perform road test to complete inspection...Gonna have to reschedule? Took me 45 min to get home while driving with expired inspection. Don't you think they should have called me in advance?

That's annoying, they should give you a nice discount for wasting your time.

Eh I never realized, I don't think most of the places I have gone to do more than like a trip around the parking lot.

I've never had mine road tested. I always go to a friend though. He still inspects it to standard, but gives me the courtesy to fix anything overlooked. It is a good system. He also looks over every vehicle before purchase. No issue for toyota, but the Chevy guys weren't too impressed with his assessment. All items that were legit, but they didn't want to put money into the car before selling. I did manage to get a new fascia, brakes and rotors, and cv boot replaced. It was a nice car that sat for about 6 months before purchase. Not sure why the cv was leaking at 20,000 miles, but I wasn't driving it in winter like that.

Yes part of the inspection is a road test. Not always done but the problem is if the auditer decides to look closely at the books and sees you wrote stickers on a day that was snowing. He could make trouble for inspector.

Wawa and Sheetz had a verbal agreement years back that neither would cross the Susquehanna...That said, Sheetz did cross it a little while ago.

Hour long shower, that must be one hell of a hot water heater. Haha.

I can switch mine over to a plate exchanger to my OWB, instead of using electric, which I basically never do..

Anyway I have infinite hot water if I do.

I have an outdoor wood burner for my residential heat. I can switch over to using that for my residential hot water instead of using an electric hot water heater. My residential water is then run through a plate heat exchanger which heats it up without mixing in with the heater water which can be full of nasty shit and additives.

For you you'd probably be best off with a tankless heater, probably natural gas depending on if it's available in your area.
