Answer = Whatever that poster has on their truck

Chances are, any true slider will be sufficient for what the average user will put it through.

true. recently there was kind of a knock down drag out with manufacturers joining in on the fun fighting about who's steel is best. nuts. it's all good stuff unless you're a total idiot buying obvious crap. anyway i went with the only chrome moly option out there to save weight (SDHQ), and those are money cus of the material. they are also great to fight about as i remember.

That was a fun Sh!tshow... loved the engineering debate.

From my experience on TW, I've yet to see a post where someone has exceeded their slider capacity (regardless of brand). I'm not saying it hasn't happened or I couldn't find an example if I searched for one. However, if it was a true problem for the "average" consumer, you'd see a lot more posts about it.

yeah, and i was surprised that reality didn't factor in with that debate. since then I'm trying to visualize what it would take to get any real sliders to fail, regardless of the material or bolt v. weld. all these will do the job. some are prettier than others, some are heavier, some are just flat overbuilt (not necessarily a bad thing, of course).

    here it is if curious:
