Let's See Your Cats!!!

Love to hear about other people with cats who are adventurous and don’t necessarily fit the stereotypical cat mold. I don’t have a picture of it but I was working on my dodge the other day , had the hood open and was in the cab looking under the dash. I heard a little noise and looked up and there’s Suki standing on the windshield looking into the cab at me. It was so cute.

What exactly do you mean? Anything’s possible - likely... no. Think the unthinkable and it could happen. Dryer was warm from previous load, cat jumped into dryer, friends wife grabbed a big handful from washer and pushed it in the dryer shut door and turned it on. Never saw or heard the cat. It was still a kitten too.

 

Mostly how can I prevent it, but with a strong dose of how could anyone let this happen. We keep the door to the laundry room closed for other reasons, but this is a good one to add to the list.

 

My Ollie is so jumpy he gets startled when my air compressor kicks on in the garage even though he's on the opposite side of the house. He's the most skittish cat I've ever had - it's like he's got a complex or something...

May be due to the "abandoned kitten" factor.

I've noticed that Harry will damn near eat until he's bursting then still raid the other two's dishes for leftovers. He can't still be hungry but he does it anyway. We know that he was a bottle-fed kitten and he was found with his litter-mates in an abandoned car. My theory is that he knows what severe hunger is and it's imprinted on him that he's got to eat while the eating is good.

Who knows?

 

In this case, bifold laundry closet doors so no way to lock cat out and prior the cat had never jumped into the dryer. For us, along with others, litter boxes in laundry room so door stays open but we stacked our washer and dryer so jumping up into the dryer a lot less likely. My wife is so OCD she checks and double checks the washer before loading and closing the door. Unfortunately curiosity is something that gets cats into trouble. The other day Amos was snooping through the grocery bags when we were unloading them next thing you know he went flying through the house with the handle around his neck hauling a grocery bag parachute behind him. Scared the hell out of him but I doubt he learned from it.

 

This crazy girl is literally sitting in the tub crying, apparently because there's no water in it. She keeps pawing at the spout, looking at me, then crying more.

 

Looks like your missing socks have coalesced into a large cat. Dibs on next next sock-cat when available.

Ours loves to do that also.
Funny thing is we tried to toilet train the Captain, but he wanted no part of it..... but has a serious fascination with where the water goes.

 

Yeah she is fascinated by it too, its quite comical.

 

Looks like she’s fascinated with those little floating things. For the love of god man please don’t let her fish out one of those stray pieces of lettuce. I know sorry- disgusting! Can’t help it.
