Hey guys, I've been trying to do some research on placement and which heating kit to get from clazzio. I was wondering which heating kits are you guys buying? And how are you wiring it up? On their page it states most people wire them up to the cigarette lighter and "in most vehicles the amperage is high enough to run both seats on high without blowing a fuse", not sure if I like how that sounds. I am looking into the all black leather for my truck, but I am unsure on which heating kit option I should get. I am leaning towards the 2016+ Toyota Heat, but have been told the other kits work as well. Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated.

I have OEM seat heaters so never wired these in but you can probably do an add-a-fuse to the AC power outlet 2 which is 15 amp. The fuse box is in the driver wheel well. The actual AC outlet is in the center console

Thank you for the reply. I chatted with their support a little while ago and they said the same about the add a fuse. I’m curious if that’s what others did too adding the heated seats.

I’ve done it for other accessories like CB and stuff.

I’m sure someone here has wired in aftermarket seat heaters.

Good luck! Maybe do a write up when you do yours and post it here for others!

I just went through all the research. Already did a set of all black Clazzio seat covers on my Son's 18 DCSB but he didn't want heated seated. Now it my turn, I have my all black seat covers and through a lot of research I went with this kit from Ebay and these is a same kit on Amazon. I have a friend who works for as stereo installer and does heated seats, Katskins and is a master at wiring. He is wring my heated seats for me, moving the Q charger over and that way the switches are on the end of the 6 switch panel. Then onto installing the covers. I talked with Clazzio about the heated seats and for 200 bucks I couldn't see myself spending that much when the same kit is on Amazon for half that price. I also am not to crazy about the dial and trying to adjust it while driving down the road. Its almost too small and I personally think the kit I ordered looks more factory looking and the blue lights on the switch match the dash lights. To me it was a win/win. Hope this helps.https://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Toyota-switch-seat-heater-2-seats-heated-seat-for-RAV4-Camry-Corolla-Tacoma/151685207264?_trkparms=aid=333200&algo=COMP.MBE&ao=1&asc=20180309124158&meid=af437fb4e27a46538c99b4a88d895223&pid=100041&rk=1&rkt=2&sd=151685207264&itm=151685207264&_trksid=p5713.c100041.m2061

Just did the install of the heated seats and my Clazzios last night. Had the wiring done today with the switches in the dash. Everything went perfect and got a set of sweet new dash speakers with built in tweeters, sounds awesome. A friend has a stereo and tint shop and he wired them. They came with it's own wiring harness, wired them through the console and put the switches in the dash. They were a perfect fit, I couldn't have ask for a better job. He even put a set of new dash speakers with tweeters and the sound is super impressive. I thought about the Subaru tweeters and he talked me out of them. Solely because they are just a tweeter. Seats heat up so quick.

That’s great, I’m probably going to order mine in a week or two. Looking forward to getting this kit. Did you actually do the seats or was it your friend? I’ve heard it’s kinda tough but not horrible?

I did the seats. I also did my son's 18 dcsb. He got some Clazzios for Christmas and we put them in, took about 3 hours. Did mine last night and putting the heating pads took a total of 5 minutes tops for both seats, no cutting, trimming or anything. It was just sticking the heat pads on then doing the seat covers. Really easy, I took the seats out and my son helped me out. Again it's not bad, and I never even looked at the directions but did watch a few videos.

    Looks sharp.
Did you buy the replacement lower panel with additional switch holes?

I had the q charger moved moved from the end next to the ECT power switch. I had two blank dummy switch panels to use. That's the way my Sport came.

I just did this myself a couple of weeks ago. Under that kick panel on the driver's side is a bunch of wires harnesses. I used a multi-meter to find a 12v source that was only hot while the truck was on. I can take pictures later today but definitely recommend using a multi-meter. As for the lights on the switches, I just tied those into the light that is above the wireless charger that turns on when you turn your lights on.
