Blah... was just pulling into a gas station that had the snow plowed into what I later found out was the entrance. So I went to the left of it which was not plowed but had tire marks and seemed like the actual entrance but was a side walk with a 5 inch snow covered curb. Hit it dead on, 90 degrees maybe going 10 mph. Alignment seems fine, tires seem fine. No wobbling, took on highway and suspension seems fine. Made a pretty big thump. Wondering what else I should be looking for? I think I would know if I had a bent tie rod or if the alignment was way off. Seems to drive straight as an arrow. Thoughts?

Yes, you need to gear both ends the same.

Otherwise the front diff will grenade.

Did mine at ECGS as well they are only a couple hours from me so was a no brainer. I just let them do it so I wouldn't have to fiddle with core fees and shipping.

Yup he quoted me " manufactured cover" and said if I agreed to drive away with the gloves on he would pass it. They had a state trooper pull a truck they had just inspected with a light bar. The kid of course said it must be legal just passed inspectiono_O

Yes for 4wd you would technically, but there is an exception which isn't applicable with us.

You can get a front clamshell pre built from ecgs as well.

How much does it usually cost to regear? Also since @TaKoToy bumper sold Im still in the market for a rear bumper with a swing out if anyone knows one floating around

Depends. If you're *only* regearing, front and rear, it costs about $1,400 when it's all said and done. Adding lockers is when it starts getting expensive. For reference, an ARB locker for the rear is an additional $850 or so. Another $850 for the front. You get the idea.

    edit: high clearance or standard?

Cost depends on what locker you get. My rear was about $1200 after I returned the core. Just go to their website and price out what you want.

Do people actually lock the front? With IFS isn't that a bad idea? Genuine question.

Only if they came with Walmart bags or something similar originally.

It's not uncommon for people to lock the front. I would like to whenever I regear. You just have to be very mindful of steering and wheelspin while locked. And also carry spare CVs and tie rods because there's a higher chance to break one.

Yes lots of people do. Also go look up the Rock Bouncer Outlaw he was running IFS and IRS! Spools front and rear. It's only a bad idea if you bounce around a lot and use it at the wrong times otherwise it can help out a lot.
