True but that can come from scan guage or the like.

Don't trust the OEM one for tuning

The stock o2 is a narrow band gauge. You need a wideband to do real tuning.

The 01-04 are wideband but they have slow update speed and aren't super accurate because they only sway a safe tune. The stock ECU has almost no part throttle enrichment for boost so they run lean without a tune.

    I have mods
Speaking of O2 sensors, I think I might have one getting ready to shit the bed. Had P0133 come up again today. Both times now it's after the truck is fully warmed up for a while and I'm sitting at a stop light. Just has to hang on thru next Tuesday and then I'll replace it. Big wheeling and camping trip starting Friday.

For now, on low boost it's all I'll be using. Hopefully it's reliable enough. :notsure:

Do you know what an Obd reader would be reading in regards to vacuum/boost?

An OBD reader can't tell you anything because the truck uses mass air metering not speed density. It doesn't have a MAP sensor and it cannot comprehend pressure or vacuum really. It just knows how much air is being sucked or blown (depending on how you route your tubing) through the MAF.

You'd need to install a vac/boost gauge if you want to measure it. Or if you're looking to have a reliably boosted vehicle switch to literally any aftermarket ECU and you can ditch the MAF and tune it in alpha-n or speed density. Depending on the size of your turbo that will determine how much problem you have down low (which can be the real problem spots with the stock computer) but without a real way to tune even pulling a grade could be problematic because of a lack of enrichment. High load, like going up a hill, high rpm, boost, and lack of fuel aren't great when put together.

That's why I'm confused why it seems to have a measurement for it. My guess was that it makes a calculation between the maf and something else. When I had the wrx that sensor was accurate, but the wrx I believe uses a MAP sensor.

Yeah, if it's showing something it is a calculated guess. Mine doesn't offer a pressure measurement.

I've compared my scangauge AFR reading to my PLX AFR gauge a number of times under full load/boost, and it's been surprisingly accurate down to around 11.5:1 AFR. After that it kinda falls off but that's getting to be the limit of how rich I run it anyway. It doesn't update nearly as fast as the gauge though.

When I had my VR-4 I used Innovate's MTX wideband. That was a nice setup. Wish I had it still.

Anybody have input on these specs if they're decent or whatnot. Im full Long Travel too so thats a factor I know. I think they can only max it out so far and the alignment tabs have already been moved as far out as can be welded. I only know the basics of alignments.20190220_192138.jpg
