NW WA Meet / BS Thread

Awesome. Can't wait to get back out there!! How long would you say it took from camp to the top of the pass? And how'd you score some heli-footage!?

 

We got a late start out of camp and took it slow. Probably three hours up and slightly less back down. The word steep doesn't do it justice.

We were camped just over from the helipad and there was a SAR expedition while we were up there. They were looking for two overdue climbers. We saw some headlamps up on dragontail the night before so we went over to talk to the air crew. Turned out the climbers were fine and just running late. We got a nice air show though.

 

Yep. It also made a good platform for shooting the milky way.

 

Thanks again for the springs @bobsuruncle. Despite what everyone else says, I think you're a pretty swell guy.

 

Does anyone have the fancy needle bearing removal tool from ECGS?
I'm located in North Seattle/Kenmore area.

 

Hope you upped your insurance on the truck....them came off Bob's truck so Im sure they are bound to break here pretty soon

 

Is anyone going to this Tacoma meet in Lynwood Friday night?

I can ship mine to ya. Should fit in a small flat rate box for like 7 bucks each way....if you cant find one locally.

 

Anyone got a f/r spacer lift laying around? Need to switch it up while I get my icons rebuilt.

Apparently I know a guy.

 

@JimSnell has the spring compressor. Take them to him, remove spring and rebuild them. They are easy to do. Only hard part is finding someone with the nitrogen setup if not doing it at a shop.

 

Hes gonna have that capability soon too.
