True but if Colorado ends up getting a mid year refresh as well, then between that, 2019 Ranger, Canyon, the market will be well heated up in end 2019. The funny thing I can get a 2019 OR 4x4 crewcab for around $35k on a good day but the 2019 Colarado Z71/72 and new Ranger are well about $5k more than the 3rd gen Taco and dealers aren't negotiating much so someone is buying these Chevys/Ranger.

I'm just hoping the 2020 Taco is priced competitively VS the others in the market by end year.

I would not count on it. Most I have seen extra for year model left overs is maybe an additional $1K extra rebate to the normal 10%-13% MSRP discount some dealers will negotiate to. Toyota runs their factories pretty lean and do not tend to have too many days of surplus stock laying on dealers lots like the domestic makes have and what drives those makes to do more heavy discounting than Toyota does.

Anyone have a good contact for a good salesperson in SoCal dealer that is willing to give you a good deal?

I'm looking for a TRD Sport DC Short Bed 4x2 Auto Cement.

Last minute/late night question. Was getting a SR 2.7 4x4 AC until the truck disappeared from inventory. I've now talked myself into the 3.5 in the same trim for another 2200 (based of the MSRP differences); but the dealer is charging about 1500 for the tow package (which I want). Sounds like BS to me. Can anybody give me a real world price of what a 2019 tow package should cost. I feel like it was only 6-800$ a few years ago but I want to be sure before I go back in. Thanks.

I only put $4k down on about $48k. But that was mainly because I was selling my other vehicle private party. Financed 72 months at 4%. My payment is a little over $700/month but I actually have an autopay of $200/week set up. If I keep
that in place I pay it off in about 48 months.

You got a good deal there. After TTL is not helpful, every state is different. The sale price is generally the only good way to compare.

HI Ive been shopping for same thing in Ohio. If you can get 36400 take it. The ones I see at 36400 seem to disappear and then bait and switch. Best price Ive found was 36,900 and I don't think that had tech pkg. Ive decided on an 18 same features with 20k miles for 30500.

Home chef. These are from this recipe. So easy anyone can make them but everyone looks amazed when they come out of the oven.

Tow package started coming standard in 2018 for the v6. Assuming the same for 2019 v6’s. Not sure it has a price breakdown for it since it’s not optional. Someone smarter than me should respond though!

I checked with the dealer and while he acted befuddled he admitted its non-optional and therefore should be reflected in the 2420$ difference between the two models as stated on Toyota's website. The worst are the ones that act like they're the one nice guy in the business. Thanks for the leverage.

Got to love car salesmen.. always trying to screw over the customer. Glad you got him to admit the price was reflected in the difference already! Now it’s time to beat him up more over the sales price ha

    A few MOD's
I purchased a 2019 TRD 4x4 off road long bed AT in California. Traded in my 2012 SR5 4x4 4 cyl, AT, access cab and gave them 27K cash, they gave me over 14K for my trade in, no extended service/warranty you do the math. they gave me $750 rebate and since I started the process on line I got another rebate of about $1500 for using the web program to start the deal. I was the first one at this location to do so and they were scrambling to figure out how and what to do since it was all new to them and I was the first one to use it so I think that's why they gave me another rebate deal. Remember CA has some of the highest sales tax and license and registration fees which came to almost 4k. Oh and yes the TECH package too.

Does anyone have experience with a late model Tacoma trade it? I have a 2017 that I wouldn't mind trading in for factory leather and tech package (and maybe a MT). Are Toyota dealers eager to take in late model tacomas to move newer ones?
