They did a FOUR minute weather breakdown on this storm on Fox 25 this morning. They were using the usual buzz words...storm event, measurable snow, slippery conditions...and then they FINALLY put up the forecasted total of zero snow accumulation south of mass pike, 1-3 north and west of the pike and switching to rain and 50F by the morning commute.

They always put so much down! I was driving on 140 in Bellingham last night and saw so many trucks dumping salt on the road.

Nice sloppy morning... at least it isnt 5 degrees....

Wife comes home tomorrow.... only been a few days, but, feels longer than that.
Unfortunately, things back home are worse than we knew, and she and my little one, will be going down to handle everything. Which is going to suck.... but, family first. No idea on timelines, or anything...

So, I will end up being unsupervised for a while.... which could be....expensive... already spent some money on the bike.... lol

    Anyway... ready for spring....

Sorry to hear that, hopefully you guys can get through things and be a whole family again soon enough. It will be a good test of character. Our basketball coach in highschoo always had these silly quotes we had to memorize or sprint and one was "Character is what you do when nobody else is watching".

Sounds like yours might have a motorcycle shape:rofl::bikewheelie2:

*if I am making light of the situation sorry, just trying to bring some cheer along.*

    Oh definitely! :bikewheelie2:

Well, most anything 2 wheels really

Haha, yeah, the 2 teenagers will ride it out up here with me. We might have to take some time for a small road trip/vacation. So the kids can visit at least one more time.

    We will get through it.

    Thanks

Thanks guys, I really appreciate it. I took the Tuesday off from work and spent it with him, we went for a walk, went for a ride in the truck, and just hanged out. I think he knew it was time but he stayed by my side all day.

Now Its very strange and awkward coming home to an empty house. No one howls of happiness when I come home, no one to let outside, no one to get the mail with me, no one's here to beg for a treat or stare at my dinner. Its a feeling that's very hard to describe. Who the hell is going to pick up the chips I drop on the floor...

The diff lock is one of the things I love about my Yamaha:

Push button for 4WD, then move the rocker over and you have another button for diff lock. I believe the rear diff is always locked and this really just locks the front. The thing's a tank.

It’s funny you mentioned that. He knew when I was getting it that it would be to take off road. The first day though, he already said “ I wouldn’t mind that for a first vehicle”. I’m like “oh no, here we go”. Then I laughing my butt off when I get home because the wife said he’d been chewing her ear off about the truck from the moment she got home lol. We’ll have to see how it goes. I definitely don’t want to put it on a trailer to take it wheeling. The goal is to keep it “road friendly “. I’ll let you know. There’s gonna be a decent amount of welding to be done on it.

Those feelings will fade, and each pet has certain things that you never forget. That being said, know that when your ready, there is another lucky companion that will do their job and take another piece of your heart. Continue to remember the good times.

Ended up going with the bigger Polaris. For the price$3-600 difference of the other two options it was hard to turn down 250lbs+ extra towing ability, higher pay load and double the HP of the Honda, not much of a huge gain over the Brute there though. Also a factor is the aftermarket, as I can't leave good enough alone and will want to add things as I go I am sure. Getting a front and rear bumper coming in, hitch comes with it but might get a larger one and going to add a winch for pull outs and next year a small plow for around the house/patio areas. Should get delivered next week as they were going to deliver all parts with the machine and have to order winch. After all that still put a couple k in the bank this morning, so end of the day I feel okay if not great about the whole thing.

Nice! Any chance it uses the same tracks as the Ranger?

The wheels are the same but I think they would be too big for the bike. The rears I had on the ranger were super long and larger than most, it had a cross brace along the bottom of the ranger to keep them in place, they probably are close to as long as the sportsman itself. Some regular camsos might have worked though.

Plan is to get a snowmobile maybe next year, or the year after. If I'm lucky I can convince my dad to sell me his scandic I've been using up here now :anonymous: Every job has the right tool and I was trying to make the ranger a swiss army knife...which we know work well enough, but aren't as good as a specialty tool in most cases. The two smaller vehicles should be more mobile and agile for the smaller trails I want to create.

Sorry if I seem late.... been trying to find words. As @Skierrichy said... brought some stuff back.

Its been years since I have had my own dog. After the last one.. I just couldnt. For a long time.
I brought Alley home to my wife and girls 3 years ago this month. She is a sweatheart, but an utter couch potatoe. She will go on hikes with us... to a point.

Saturday, I am finally bringing home a dog for me. Active as hell. Smart. Been a long process, but, the wait was worth it.

Took me a long time. Some of it, because I wasnt ready, and others, because I wasnt in the best place for a pet that needed that kind of attention.

I feel your pain man. Move on when youre ready. Only thing I have to offer.

    Sorry for your loss man
